        Hi Poi Ching Mummies

Have you heard any update from any source whether and when will Poi Ching go single session on full scale?

I really hope this will happen by the time my kid turns P1. Finger crossed.

        Thanks

          Hi Poi Ching mummies

My son is going P1 next year and I have just received my booklist. I notice that there are no textbooks for the English language. Why is this so?? Do I need to buy everything stated in the booklist?

          Hi Ongkb

Many thanks for your long reply on what to expect from the school. I will keep in mind to leave the evenings free for my son’s homework. Nevertheless, I intend to keep other lessons to a minimum. Hope that your kid’s year end exam had been a smooth sailing one.

yes, no english text book as poi ching is using STELLA for english, same as St. Hilda.

for stationary wise. only buy compulsory items. optional items no need to buy

I think on orientation day, the bus company will be there to give quotation.

about 2km, with a small van, costs about $75-80/month.

                    no lah..

use 2 years time (p1-p2) to learn 2000 words that normally done in 6 years. That only apply to words recognition only. doesn't really mean that p2 kids will have chinese language ability of p6 kids (e.g. comprehension, compo, etc...)
Hi, amylqf. I just heard that those words that the P2 are learning now (the trial/china' syallbus) are so difficult that not even the usual P6 students know those words. That is, the standard is very much higher than MOE's advance chinese. Is it true?

Also, can I confirm that HYPY is not shown in the P1/P2 text?

My girl is going to P1 next year, actually already enroll her into Tampines Pri Sch, but I got a call from Poi Ching this morning saying that they got a place for my girl. Now I am still wondering whether to tranfer her to Poi Ching or just stick to Tampines Pri Sch?
