exciting thread here as someone posted crazy school. I have been speechless for years!
      sigh!

Next year 2013 AM session for the school hours may have some changes as well. Mostly due to the renovation project. Well, no letter given out yet.
      I cannot believe it. Speechless!

Timing is already out in the website...btw i got a p6 and a P2... So far the changes in the school are for the better as the last principle focus on fun really bring down the standard of the school... My only issue is the chinese programme that my p2 undertake since p1. Anyway i understand a lot of other schools are going to adopt the pcs chinese programme next year, so it seems like it here to stay..

Quite not true that many schools are adopting pcs Chinese programme. If you look at the moe Chinese website under edumall, you can see the texts from P1-6. Past year papers from top schools are following the standard syllabus. I will only support the programme if the school can show that with their Chinese programme, the results surpass nanyang, RGPS or taonan. If not, there is no rationale for cramming what other children learn in 6 years to 2 years for pcs pupils.

              Hi,

Does anyone know the calculation for the overall mark for P2?
Haha, I just finish calculating. The sch calculated correctly. No worries. In fact, they round up the overall of each subject and u may get 1 or 2 marks more under total of 3 subjects!

The formula is based on the weightage of each paper. Cut-and-pasted below.
              First Combine = Term1 + Term2, normalised to 100%
              2nd Combine = Term3 + Term4, normalised to 100%
              Overall = just add all.
Ya, need to take out all the test paper to caculate.

Btw, can only calculate English and Math but not Chinese.
My purpose of doing all these is find out how many marks my DSs get for their Chinese Oral which is not given to us. Many times, my DSs construct Chinese sentences using English rules! I am so worry that they fail their Oral.

Today my DS brought back a survey form. I put disagree for a few items. My DS is so worried about the disagree. I told him I must give real thoughts, not just tick to please the school. He likes his CL teacher very much and tries harder because of her.

I can't remember what DS gets for each. Just managing one test at a time. Dread to think it's only P2. ๐Ÿ˜“

Nonkiasu, are your DS in the same class next year?

                      All in diff class.
I asked the sch to split them. The number of times my DS3 writes on his handbook over 2 years is countable. He has been relying on his brother for all messages. It's time he learns to be indepedent. Also, give the teachers a break, trying to recognise who is who in the class.
