      babynicole:
I do heard from another parent that she actually makes the child writes the passage out couple of times. Thought this is a bit too much , but her kid actually score full marks on every test using this method.

I agree. I think it also depends on the child's capability. Ds has one classmate whose grandma also adopts this method on top of the flash cards. She did not get full marks for the past 2 tests leh.

I'm happy so long ds does not make more than 5 mistakes. ๐Ÿ™

I agree, think I need to manage my expectation well. Otherwise, might unknowingly kill her interest in studying  ... Btw, is your child in P1 or P2

I think yr dd is already doing very well and will definitely do better as she gets more comfortable with this "Sheng Zi Guan" thing. Also unlike her, her classmates already have 1 year experience.

          DS is in P1.

            Hi mummies

It has been quite a few months since our kids attended Poi Chingโ€ฆ Does anyone care to share any feedbacks or comments regarding the school and teachers.

My kid happened to share with me that her teacher openly praised a classmate of her being very fair and pretty. Think the teacher even went to the extend of asking the class who elseโ€™s mothers also praised the girl of her look.

Perhaps I worried too much, I am concerned of the influence and message sent to these yound kids regarding their appearances upon hearing such comments from their teacher. Not sure if it is appropriate for a teacher to do that as I thot I would appreciate more if the teacher was openly praising the student of her hardwork or good behaviour instead of the her being aesthetically pleasing.

            Just my personal view. Thanks

So in the end, did you managed to see the school b4 reg? Today, I am impressed with the new and latest facilities that Tampines Primary have! So tempted to go for it instead of Poi Ching. But I have not visited any primary for the last 30 years. So don't know is this the norm. Anyway, how's the facilities, culture, teachers, etc. in Poi Ching?
