Intrepid, indeed. Under Bro Anthony’s stewardships, many boys have grown to be outstanding gentlemen making significant contributions to the society. There are many of us out there currently holding senior positions (be it within the public or private sectors) who remain grateful to the school, teachers and Brother Anthony. For those of us who grew up under Bro Anthony’s close supervision, such as those in Students Councilor, are saddened by this news.

Bro Anthony......you have led the boys for these long but it ended with shame 😞

The boys who are now good men out there is his lasting legacy. This good work will outlast this episode. That cannot be taken away from Bro Anthony. Let us also remember that and be compassionate.

I agreed. Wish him luck .....

I need to vent. Attended the Parents Meet Teachers on 27 May. That Maths teacher is a real piece of work. She just sighed when we mentioned my son’s name and rested her head on her hand. We had to identify ourselves 3 times before she sighed and said "what can I say?" She is very uncommunicative despite us probing on our son’s understanding of Maths. Made very judgmental remarks.

I can't imagine a teacher behaving that way. Definitely very unprofessional. If I were you, I would have give it to her and speak my mind. We took time off from work just to go down and we expect constructive feedback. Why do u need to identfy yourself 3 times? Do u mean that she couldn't remember your son?

She remembers. The moment we said our son’s name, she just sighed and stared at us, and gave us this look like why were we bothering since our son is so hopeless.

My son kept telling me not to do so cos she will scold him. My husband told me not to do so as it is only 6 months more to end of the year. He doesn’t want her to make things so difficult for our boy that he gets stressed just going to school.

I agree in not reporting to the P too. This may put the teacher in a bad light and most teachers do not like that kind of attention from the P. Expecially if the teachers feel that they had been misunderstood. I think the teacher may have sent the wrong signal unintentionally la. Maybe you read too much into it?

Is your son's math results ok? I used those past year exam papers (from other schools) and asked my son to do it. From there, I can guage what kind of questions will be asked. I try and make sure he can answer those questions. It definitely help. 🙂
