Just to share, for my P2, this term they are doing something interesting for music lessons. The boys with some music background (can read music notes etc) are being introduced to the violin, and the rest are learning the guzheng. Quite fun i think.
Sounds interesting...
Out of curiosity, do they have to buy the instruments?

I think it may not be by birth dates, cos my boy is a dec baby and there's quite a number of his classmates with birthdays ranging from Jan to apr.
Oh i c! Can i ask which phase were u in when u register? The reason why I said birth dates is becos I happened to look at the birthday chart in ds class during one of those PTM days n also asked the mummy in the next class for her son's birthdate mth!
I wonder if it is some phase using this method n some others not.

Hi valsboys, cayennepepper,
Me wondering β could it be your class in half of the previous phase (hence the later part of the year in terms of bdate) n half of the nex phase (hence early part of the year for the new phase)?? Which prob means u might not have maybe apr to aug bbies??
Quite interesting - the way they allocate the boys to their class!! -
i am happy that my son got into Maris. any idea why they reduce intake tis year for p1 2012?
how is the catered food now? still got problem? -

It's true, both my boys (P1 & P5) told me that too. It was announced during the morning assembly, my younger boy told me it was due to terminal illness :? (didn't confirm with my older boy). Anyway, it's really very sad to hear that.Hi Mummys & daddys,
My boys came home today and told me that a boy from 3H just passed away from high fever complication. Anyone knows if its true or the school boys rumour mongering ? -

Guess the school are reducing the number of students per class. To me, the catered food is not appetitizing, most of the time, the boys did not finish the food.i am happy that my son got into Maris. any idea why they reduce intake tis year for p1 2012?

we registered under phase 2Bβ¦funny thing is that his kindergarten pal registered under phase 2C and is in the class ahead of him!
