      Hi,

Was looking through the booklist for P1 again and saw this iflashbook thing. Did anyone get it? Is it useful?

Another thing that is kinda unrelated to the above, are there standards on boys hairstyles? As in how short etc?

I bought that iflashbook thingy. A few parents told mentioned before that it's not necessary to buy. But I still bought it. Guess what. We didn't even bother to try it. It's still in the drawer. So, I am going to tell you, no need to buy. If you want, buy it when u want to use it.

For hairstyle, I think as long as it is not covering the ears and eyebrows, it should be fine. Most importantly, must be presentable. 🙂

      Thx Bigfoot 😄

i am amazed that MSH is really very organised in terms of admin. they even tell u what to bring on first day, second day, how to prepare ur child for p1, even the forms are filled with bible verses. unlike my girl’s sch, cath too, but communication is much lacking…

I was just reading and printing the forms/ letters too. Very well organised indeed.

For the personal organizational folder, just an A4 clear folder will do, isit?

Do they really need colour pencils on a daily basis? (stated as one of the things to bring everyday)

Thanks for sharing the above tip on the sticker labels, will pop by J8 for a look.

Now have to remember to teach my son how to use the padlock.

does msh have entry test for p1? i noticed the kids are already allocated the classes on admin day, and there are no test so i guess its based randomly or phase of registration

No entry test for last year.

I always tot they were allocated to classes based on the phase of registration followed by birth of date. Eg: those with siblings are generally 1a 1b etc etc. I thk catholic phases are generally 1e n 1f with 1e having those born agak ard Aug n before n 1f are thise born Aug (agak) n after.

Anyone knows for sure if I'm correct?

                    Hi there,
I got my DS a clear L-shaped folder as his personal organizational folder, easier to put things in when it's L-shaped.

As for colour pencils, I told him to leave them in his locker. Not sure if they're used on a daily basis, but I know he needs them for Maths at times, and little activities here and there other than Art.
                    Hope that helps 🙂

For colour pencils, you may want to put a few in his pencil case. My DS told me that they were asked to colour during lesson (especially Math). For the rest, you can keep them in locker.

For personal folder, a A4 clear folder will do. No need to get those very \"thick\" folder. 10-15 sheets will be more than enough.
