The bus raised the bus fee by $10!

Didn't they inform you before hand?

Just want to check. My son told me the bus driver said no need to buckle sat belt so it is faster to get off the bus!
I notice there is no helper around in the bus. There is only one driver and a load of students.

          Is that the norm?

By the way, for those students who have CCA after school and need to take school bus home, it will be $5 PER TRIP. If your DS CCA end earlier than other CCAs, he has to wait for the last CCA to end. I just found this out through the bus operator and school admin.

Thanks Bigfoot for the info. Wow, that's an extra $20 per month! Think I will go fetch him home myself after the CCA then. No point taking the school bus at 4.15pm then reach the student care at 5pm or later.

Me too. After all the trouble in calling/emailing the bus operator and school admin, I decided to fetch DS myself.

Hi, may I know if the whiteboard and markers are required for p2? Can they be purchased at the school? Thanks

Not sure whether P2 will need whiteboard and markers. But I am sure the bookshop does sell. But can't we use the whiteboard and markers from last year?

Yes! I just learned about it today when they passed the card to my DS. Actually I sort of expected the increase because I read in the papers in Nov/Dec about the \"agreement\" to increase bus fare. But it is a 17% increase...

Hi guys, pls note that the bus does not service all areas. I asked abt this last year cos ds joined wushu on wed. They told me they dont go to my area so in the end I had to get grandpa to fetch him after CCA! πŸ™‚
Thanks Vicki. It does serve Bishan. I checked. πŸ™‚

Is it a small bus/van? I know it's compulsory to have a helper if it exceeds a certain number of students. As for seat belt, I thought it is compulsory under the new ruling? I will check with my son. To me, seat belt in school bus is important and it is non-negotiable.

It is not those mini van, slightly smaller than the Sbs bus.

The bus has seat belts installed.
LTA ruling is compulsory for small buses (15 seating capacity) to have seat belts.

Anyway I will check again tomorrow. They should wear seat belt, it is for their safety.
