Tks much, Bigfoot
If there is anything that need to be brought, the students will usually reflect it in their Marist Buddy. I don't remember that my DS need to bring anything for PAL lessons. He needs to wear house t-shirt during those lessons though.mauricemum:
Hi All,
am new to this forum..btw DS is in 1E.
Can anyone here advise what do we need to bring for PAL 1 & PAL 2 as listed in their timetable?

wow so many changes ah…walls around the canteen?
Vending machines are very cool for these young kids. My ds loves buying stuff fr the machines. Agree that the canteen should cut down on selling unhealthy food such as chips and sweet drinks. -
My son from 1E forgot to bring back his personal folder.
Want to check if any fellow 1E parents can advise if there is anything from the teacher? -
DS came home today with 50cents in his pocket. His wallet is empty and I asked him what he bought with $1.50 as we gave him total $2. He said he did not buy any food from canteen becos of the long queue (again!), and only ate biscuits/bread that we packed for him. He is puzzled as to what happened to the $ too! He said maybe he ran and $ dropped out!! I questioned him many times and I believed he is telling the truth that he did not use the $. I am inclined to think he could really hv dropped the $ and not that someone stole it from him! Has this ever happened to anyone’s kid before?

ptr:
hi ptr, for 1I, PE is on Mon so no need to wear tie right? so that means, no need to wear tie the whole week??Hi scjlrc, yes same for ds too. The new thing yesterday was the Marist Buddy book, quite a bit of info there, even listed the bus fare. Similarly, all books taken except for maths and chinese textbooks which i let ds bring everyday (just the 1A).
I saw in the personal folder, they did a few pieces of worksheets, like \"spot the difference\", and \"find the words\" kind, nothing serious. That was for the first day.
ds experience at the canteen is the same, all the queues were long. Finally, he decided on the snacks and got a pack of \"something like potato chips\" for $1. The P5 buddy so far has been playing with him only, too.
BTW, someone asked about tie, it says in the Marist Buddy that tie worn on Mondays only. -
yesterday i check his wallet and found that he used up $2 dollar.
But he told me he bought chicken rice $1.00.
Concerned where is his $1 I ask him as I afraid bigger boys might trick him.
My son told us one P1 boy lost his money so he gave him $1.
He said that boy’s friend gave that boy $0.10 but it is so little. That’s why he gave that boy $1.
He pity that boy who lost his money.
Apparently that boy takes the same return school bus as my son.
Today I ask him if that boy return him $1, he said no. -

Hi tonythomasmum
Similar incident happened to my boy yesterday. We checked his wallet and found 20 cents missing. After asking and asking, he finally said that his friend lost his money and he is so poor thing so he exchanged his 50 cents coin for one 20 cent coin and one 10 cent coin. The boy is also in his school bus.
Told him not to exchange money with anyone anymore. Sigh -
I think he doesn’t know the concept of lending money to friends.
Just told him next time if the same thing happen to him, he must return money to his friend.
Also told him do not borrow or ask friends for money. -
With regards to money, if I’m not wrong, the school (or at least my DS class) has this policy that they can’t exchange money, borrow money, give money and ask for money. Should the boys forget to bring money to school, they are to inform their form teacher who will lend them the money.
