O ya! :salute: That means the 51 within the < 1km need not go through balloting. Whereas the 36 places available for > 1km & < 2km.

Our school made the news in Wanbao today (Sat). Bullying is on the rise…
-
Can share more info?

Few weeks back, wanbao reported that one plump P4 boy at Maris was beaten up by a gang of 15 classmates led by the monitor who was a taekwondo expert. The parents said that he has been bullied almost every day by that monitor and he is now afraid of going to school. Then this week (last night’s wanbao), a P1 boy was involved in a scuffle with his classmate and ended up with his lips bleeding. His parents called the police and ambulance to the school but the authorities thought the injury was too minor to warrant their concern.
Both parents say the school does nothing to protect the victims and the bullies are tolerated coz the school wants to give the errant boys a chance. -
So far, some examples of bullying…
1) Shoving and pushing during recess / games / on staircase, thereby causing bad falls
2) Using stationery (eg. mechanical pencil or metal ruler) to scratch or injure others, causing cuts
3) Using finger nails to scratch others deliberately till there’s broken skin
4) Tripping others on purpose
5) Kicking others’ buttocks (narrowly missing the testicles) when they squat down to tie their shoelaces
6) Intentionally destroying other people’s property
7) Scuffles and acts of gangsterism (intimidation, mob attacks)
and many more… -
My son told me the other day there were two boys who fought with stapler bullets. One was so badly cut that his uniform was bloodied.
Last week some boys from the school bus saw my husband waiting for son. Told son that his father is a f**king idiot. My husband dared them to say it in his face.
Last year I posts my son was kicked and pushed. Told the teacher and she said the boy just wanted to play with my son. In the end, my son learnt to punch the bully back when he was kicked again. -
Does this means i need to send my son for classes to learn to defend himself since the scjool seem to be not doing anything? I was hoping for a school with discipline but this seems to be non-existant based on what i am reading.
