Thank you very much for the useful information. In general, any specific that parents needs to pay special attention in MS compared to other schools ?[/quote]

This is a Govt -aided school.
This is a SAP sch , = Both Eng & Chs are 1st language, hence P1-4 , the boys take Higher Chinese .
This is a Mission sch = Expect & appreciate prayers & gospel readings.
Primary sch canteen sells LOTS of fried food and empty calories snacks > potatoes chips & sweet drinks etc
Most Sports CCA are outsourced hence they are paying CCA > charged per hour . The top on the rank will be Badminton & Table tennis .
Most if not all of the excursions , 'mandatory' mag & newspapers subscription & online portal etc etc are not paid thru Edusave but by cash >> bulk collection at year end . Amt can be anything from $100++ to high end of $200++ per boy.
Last but not least , if u send & fetch your son by car .... either send super early at 6.40am and pick much later 35-40 min after dismissal or else :slapshead: :stompfeet:

:please: Welcome to the Big Family :grphug:

I was shocked when my P1 DS shared with me that P2 boys are bullies as they point center finger with speech ‘Fxxx up’ to him. He was influence with ‘Fxxx’ but will said it as ‘what the F…’ , hence we asked him what’s the word that he always said in silent mode. He told me it’s bad word but can’t help saying it as he hear it almost everyday during recess.

Any advice from parent? is this normal in boy’s school? feels guilty putting him in MSHS (boy) instead of Pei Chun (mixed school) with thoughts that boy’s school is less political than mixed school.

I suggest you bring it up to teacher n school. If your son can identify the p2 boy, the teacher n school will take action to speak to the p2 boys n their parents.

              Hi Parents,

I am newbie here and thinking of registering my boy into MS...Any advise for new parents joining MS family? What to look out for? I read earlier posts about school bullies, many CCAs payable at max $200 per boy per year.....kinda scared already..... :yikes:

                  Hi Isaliz,

I do not know of any schoolbus. Maybe you’d like to consider sending your Ds via MRT? You need to change at Serangoon Circle line though.

                    Hi heyhoe,

Thanks for your reply. Yes I have thought of MRT, if somebody at home is available to send.

Hi , school bullies are not unique to MSHS. Many if not all schools have such headache, esp Boys Sch. We are probably more vocal about it.
However, your infor \" many CCAs payable at MAX $200 per boy per year \" Mayb a little misguided ...
** the amount is more likely to be \"per boy per HALF a year\". **
