any feedback on the catered food?

i personally don’t quite feel ok with the snack they gave. It was supposed to be either dessert like agar agar/cream puff or biscuit etc. but my son came back with a pack of crackers. thought they supposed to give healthy food?

At 7.15am, my son told me he was hungry. I was happy cos he did not like to eat and always claimed to be full. Then during recess, he threw away half his rice, finished the drink and ate half a pack of crackers! I don’t like the crackers and the drink should be given after meal.

Yup, I was quite surprised that he came with a pack of crackers… he took quite some time to finish his food so didn’t really have time to play.

He managed to tell me what happened in class - mainly admin stuff and rules of the school etc. His shorts already had a dirty patch during recess time!

Surprisingly, he still insisted on going to the student care after school. Hahaha

            smurf:
Hmm, Dun have time to find a job, especially during the holiday, can't even have some peace! :x

No lah, haven't decide whether to put him in a student care, dun think got good ones near sjij??

We'll see how it goes. :celebrate:
            Hi smurf

After consideration, we thought it was better for the big one to attend student care w tuition as these kids listen better to teachers than naggy moms. And student care is not expensive. I just have to pick him earlier so that he won't feel so tired. And he can just relax at home without my nagging.

Plus, with another kid in the house, it's hard to spend time monitoring DS' work. I'll review again when my baby can go to childcare.

First day of school was fine for my DS. He seem to be adapting well. He is looking forward to the second day.

As for the food, my DS is a slow eater as usual. He did not even finish half the food. He is also fussy about his drink. Guess we have to train him to eat faster and eat/drink whatever is given. I was also surprise about the snack. But I guess it is ok as long as it is not crackers everyday.

For the school bus, I was surprise that my son can reach home so fast. He reached before 2pm. Morning traffic seem ok. Guess we will continue to send DS to school in the morning for now.

Anyone going for second day? We will not be going as our leave are not approved. 😞

Just to check, will there be any lesson tomorrow? We took out the chinese and math textbook as it was not used today. The school bag is heavy. As none of us will be following him into the school tomorrow, we feel that he should not be carrying such heavy bag.

I suppose there were no lesson conducted today. My son said that he did not learn any "new". We just told him that lesson has not really started yet. He is quite happy that there is no homework. He said that life in P1 is easier than K2. We shall see what happen next week.

Glad to know your son enjoyed his day, Bigfoot. My son also said he learnt nothing today. Hope he will grow to like school. Will still include both CL and Math textbooks coz dun want DS to \"kenna\" questioned by teacher. I'll try to help carry his bag in for him. 😉

I decided to make it a 1-way school bus for him too. DH will send each morning. Must train him to walk from bus stop to his class. It's too much of a hassle to queue up to enter the school compound.

I'll still be attending tomorrow's session. DH will return to work.

Both myself and my hb are still attending full day tomorrow.

Btw, i’m still bringing the Chinese and Maths textbooks - just in case!

Have you guys received your timetable yet? I have PE on monday so i wonder if it means this whole year my ds will not need to put on tie (since can wear PE shirt and shorts on PE days)!!

Hi Cherrygal - did you put your boy in TLC for the student care? I kindof noticed the names of boys going to TLC on the class notice board!! Wonder if this is related to the school or something?!

Im very happy with my school bus!! The timing is cool - almost the same as if we drove!! We did a test today. I brought ds down and waited for the bus - then bye bye him - and dh drove me down to the school - dropped me off on the opposite side of the road (so that he can go back at Serangoon Central) - i walked into school and waited for his bus at the waiting area and its only a 5mins wait!! So driving time almost = school bus time!!

Going home was the same!! As in i reach the "drop off" point abt 5 mins before he came back! My mil was also surprised by the "efficiency" of the bus!!

                      Lets see what happens 2ml…
