what do they do in PALS?

Complaints aside, I think I cannot tahan having to wake up at 5am to cook his recess food. It would be too much of a hassle and sacrifice to prepare his food everyday.
The downside is, my ds doesn’t want to eat buns and sandwiches so I can’t just let him take a bun.
Those considering to prepare own food can go buy a thermal food warmer for your sons to take to school. You can put porridge, rice with meat n vege, chee cheong fun etc in it and it will keep warm for a few hours. That means you gotta cook very early in the morning.
Those intending to prepare rice-based dishes gotta cook it fresh and not use leftover rice from previous night coz bacteria grows on exposed rice within 2 hours. It can go bad and cause tummy ache.
Good luck! -

It is the hassle that got most parents to sign up for the catering especially since the kids are not allowed to go to the canteen. I hope that the situation can get better after the VP talk to the caterer.Complaints aside, I think I cannot tahan having to wake up at 5am to cook his recess food. Sjij dun have catered food. P1 has to q up to buy food. First 4 days p5 will help to be big brother to help p1. I think it’s a better system than catered food. For catered food, we don’t know how they wash the ingredients and how they cook though.

for drinks we alternate between milo and smoo milk which he has been drinking since his nursery days.
dun think we will bring ds along too.. meaning one of us gotta stay at home to make sure he sleeps by 8pm. -

catered food is a concern but bullying happens everywhere. there is no way we can avoid unless ur ds is big size and have the dun come mess with me face. lol... what we can do is to make sure he knows what to do when he felt threatened. we always teach our ds to be civic in handling such situation. but kids being kids, sometimes things may happen. just hope it won't be a big one if it ever happen.the catered food and bullying is a concerned to me. wonder if i shd still put my boy in MS. if i do reg him, i will walk him home though. no sch bus. n tabao food for him. i hope no boys will snatch the food if they dont like the catered one.
shd tell the principal at the parent-teacher meeting in public. i m sure other parents will join in to voice their concerns abt the food. -

Does anyone know if the kids need to wear the PE shorts and house T-Shirts on the day where they have their PAL lesson??
We were told to wear House T-shirt and PE shorts on day when our DS has PAL lesson. -
SPIES:
it was stated in a letter which we found inside our ds bag a few days ago. u din get it?bigfoot:
The principal has declared 21 Jan as a school holiday to celebrate the good achievements of the school's 2010 GCE O level. He did not declared school holiday for 2010 PSLE results. Does it mean PSLE results was not as impressive? Hmm.... :? just a thought.....
oh! when was this information released?? -

not so much of an issue to us. we rather make the sacrifice cos he returned home hungry, he will be very tire and may even fell asleep in the schoolbus. so it is better to let him eat what he wants to eat than having him not eating at all.So what will you be preparing for your kids then? Everyday, 5 days a week... oh my.....
I hope the issue can be resolved asap cos I really cannot imagine myself waking at 5+ to prepare his meal especially for Monday when we have to prepare lunch as well.
anyway, we woke up every day at 530am to prepare for work. now it is just 30 min earlier. not an issue. so far so good...
