        Hello P1 Parents,

FYI. This is the reply we got from DD's FT (P1 Perseverance):
        1) Spelling test will start in week 3 Thur, 20th Jan.
        2) Mental sum is done during Math lessons, twice a week. There is no fixed day for this.
        3) Remedial lesson will probably commence in Term 2.
        4) I try my best to arrange their seating according to height.
        5) The index number has nothing to do with seating arrangment
, at the moment, Index number is still not fixed as we still have new girls coming in. Index number will only be confirmed in Feb.
Do take note that even if all P1 classes start spelling 1 in week 3, not all P1 classes will have spelling on Thursday. Different classes have spelling on different days.

More info on seating arrangements.........during the 1st term, the teacher will assess the students and band them according to their academic abilities and split them into groups in term 2. Each group will have 1-2 high-ability students pairing up with 2-3 mixed ability students. This seating arrangement is applicable for all classes, including the top 2 classes. Enjoy the seating arrangement now as the gals will change their seating arrangement every term...like musical chairs.

            Hi autumn82,
Confirmed with DD1...PE/HE is something new this year. It's a period where the teachers will alternate PE and Health Ed. every week. So if they have PE this week, they'll have Health Ed next week. Her PE teacher told her to wear PE attire for PE/HE period regardless, just in case they have PE. Don't forget to bring the Health workbook as well. πŸ˜‰

                Hi autumn82,

πŸ˜‰ Your DD can put any books (but no valuables or jacket) she wants in her locker. Just don't forget to bring the books back home for homework when she needs them.

Some gals do bring their art bag to and from sch. Maybe the art bag is too big to fit into the locker with the other books or maybe they're worried it'll get lost. If you want, your DD can leave the art block in her locker without the art bag. πŸ˜„

                        Hi funkymonkey,

My DD also wrote down in her helpmate that the spelling will be on 20 Jan.
My DD said she knows your girl! She has spoken to her and she said ur girl is sitting behind her. My DD's name is Moon Teng.

My girl says she was asked to sit behind during English class as her teacher said she knows what is going on, and she will be asked to be leader next time. πŸ™‚ so glad that she did not daydream in her class. Haha.
