I called the Operations Manager and he sounded surprised. He left slip the letters were sent out late this year. Told me to go down before Orientation Day to submit application form and payment!

ohdaddy:
ohdaddy, since you won't carry an umbrella, you can sms me when you are there then
Sure, we meet! I don't want to carry umbrella leh, so like uncle!michyms:
ohdaddy, our girls are gonna be classmates... we should say hello on Nov 19. How am I gonna recognise you? Are you gonna be carrying at umbrella or something?
Any other parents keen to meet up to say hello on orientation day as well?
I will PM you my number.

ohdaddy:
Yes, I think the letter says we have to go down to the school to collect the label before school starts in January. I think it would be a mad house to collect on first day of school, so I'd rather avoid that.Gin:
Hi, regarding the carpark label, I called the school this morning and they told me that I can submit the Application Form on Orientation Day and to just tell the security guard at the gate that we are parents of a Primary 1 (Year 2012) student.
That's what they told me too when I called them. But that means we might have to collect the car label on first day of school or sometime after orientation day. -
Anyone’s dd taking school bus?
-
My girl will be taking school bus. I called Mrs Chua yesterday, told me they’ll be at the orientation for those who needs transport.
She quoted me $100 ($90 1 way) per mth for Yishun route. And pick up time is 10:45am! -
Gorilla, 10.45am is really quite early! So means your dd will need to pack lunch to school or eat a very big brunch at 9am+. It’s hard to understand - if the school bus comes directly from Yishun to MCS, why would they need an entire hour?
My dd is also taking the school bus, so she would also need to eat lunch at home at 10.45am as well. Timing is just simply odd. -
I know! I thought I heard wrongly! Hopefully it’s just an estimate time untill she knows exactly the number of kids taking the bus. Mrs Chua was telling me the girls need to be in school before 12noon.
And for the Yishun route, it’s those big bus, may be that’s why.
What time is the pick up time for your girl? Which part of the island? -
All the PM students needs to be in the school Hall by 12.15pm. That is why the bus needs to pick up the kids early.
-
gorilla, I stay at AMK Street 22. I have not asked the bus driver about the timing, but there is an MCS girl who is from my block who gets up the bus at 11.30am and gets home at 7.05pm.
What time is your dd expected home? I hope it isn’t too late, or she will be so hungry! -
11:30am and 7:05pm is pretty good timing.
Didn’t ask about returning timing as I’ll be picking her. Judging from the pickup timing, will be late, 7:45pm to 8pm with peak hour.
