michyms, ya lor, I find her ‘not quite up to standard’. I even wrote the note in Chinese, just in case she’s not comfortable in English since she’s not local. I dropped her another ‘love note’ in DD’s helpmate, let’s see if she replies today. Anyway, already sent her an email. It’s not just the communication part. There’re things which she mentioned she’ll do but wasn’t done. As long as it doesn’t affect DD terribly, I’ll wait till PTC.

michyms, doesn’t reply to my note in helpmate. Didn’t call when form teacher told me she would. Will be emailing her, see if I get any response.

U guys are fortunate to receive emails and sms updates. None from DD’s class. But former teacher is quick to reply emails. However, not the same to be said of the Chinese lao shi.
Hi tabofamily, a warm welcome to MCS!

How is your DD getting on?

I live in Yishun too! Is your DD taking the sch bus?

      Hey Gorilla, Tabomama,

I stay in Yishun too :rahrah:

Hi wkong and gorilla and other MCS mummies!

I'm more or less fixed on sending DD to MCS in 2014, and we live in Yishun. I read some of your comments about the very long bus ride! Can I ask if there's only 1 bus to choose from? How early is the bus ride? We live between Yishun and Sembawang so I'm not sure if there're different bus rides?

      Thanks!!
Hi hi,

Yep for Yishun, there's only 1 big bus. My DD was supposed to be the 1st to be picked up at 10:40am, at blk 633. If you want a later pick up, it'll be at the bus stop near the overhead bridge opp Khatib MRT, around 11:35am. Hence a 1.5 hr of bus ride for DD before she reaches sch.

If not wrong, there's a small bus plying the route for Sembawang, think shorter rides since lesser students on the bus.

You can give the bus operator Chua Bus Transport a call at 64524650, look for Mrs Chua.

      Hope this helps.

May be it's a good thing that I'm not aware of the small tests except the major ones, no stress! :rotflmao:

      hi KSMUM

i think it depends on the class/teacher. my kid was told to change into uniform when it was not a pe day after her friday morning cca.
Just confirm with the FT… she allow the girls to be in their PE attire due to CCA. This is great … then my dd will have more time to settle down and have lunch.
erm, i am surprised to hear this. There is this girl who is in the same school bus as my DD, she wears PE attires 3 times a week as her mum has no time to iron her clothes. She didn’t join any CCA. Guess special allowance?
My DD’s FT also allows PE attire on days when there’s CCA. She mentioned to hubby, exception for P1 cos they might have difficulty changing to pinafore. Anyway, DD changed into pinafore cos she finds it too warm dressed in PE attire. Taught her how to do the zip up and she asked a friend to button for her.
