      Dear All,

Thank you for your wonderful and kind sharing to us blur newbies. We have withdrawn from Marymount Convent as DD has been offered a place at another school. I wish you and your DDs all the best in their transition into P1 and their exciting journey of learning.

By the way, I was at the bookshop yesterday and the Aunty told me the bible and the textbook covers are in stock.

Here's wishing you and your family a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
      Hi Pheonix

All the best to your daughter in her new school!

Wishing you a merry xmas and a happy new year!

      Cheers!

        Thanks Gorilla.

We had to order many new books, I was surprised, thought P1 used same books in all schools. Bought uniform and white school shoes. United Uniform Aunty likes to recommend havoc minis while Bibi & Baba Aunty swings to the other extreme and suggested a mid calf pinafore
        :scratchhead:

All the best to your DD! Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year ahead!

Hahaha... from black to white shoes! Mini to midi!

My daughter's pinafore is also above knee but the next size up is simply too big, she'll be swinging in it. Will 'lengthen' the hem if need to.

Hi, looks like most of the girls carry SPI or Lego bags. Isetan private sale is now on and SPI bags go at $89 fr usual price of $110. I bought my DD one from shop close to toysrus at united square. Discount during end Nov sale. Not sure if there is. Enjoy shopping!

Looking at Bata too, heavy but they really look comfy. Most about $20 and up I saw. I don't know of anywhere else apart from the neighbourhood stores which sell school shoes, which might be cheaper.

Hi wimdils! Just brought my DD 2 weeks ago to Queensway Level 3, the shop directly from the escalator, got her black shoes there. They have quite a few design choices, like adidas, brooks, etc. Maybe you want to try there 😄

                      Hi,

We bought DD the black Mary Janes from Stride Rite, very light and well made. She finds them very comfy and pretty that she wears them often.
