Hi,when your DD start learning this sport? Trying to decide whether to let my join in p1 or later? Does it require a lot of time commitment from child n mummy?I'm going to start a parent support group for our rhythmic gym girls. Anyone keen? Also is there one existing in our blog? I recall for last year there were the usual suspect like St Nick, CHIJ where the supporters scream their lungs out and waving madly for their gym girls in the April interschool competition at woodlands. They were clad in t-shirts bearing school logo and loud prints with Daddy Gym or Mommy Gym. I thought we should start this for our girls too and be supportive of them. My dd is in school team and should be doing the ball and rope this time round.
Amy suggestion? -

I c. Thx for sharing.. Will leave it to teachers then. So ur DD has to go for class early for days... Not on Sat right? -
Yes jnemummy, it’s carried out during the PE lessons. The school team practices more regularly but again it’s weekdays. The girls come earlier ahead of their usual afternoon classes. But there are at least 3 weeks of extra practice sessions during school hols. Hope your dd will enjoy her lessons. My dd also dances classical ballet and she said gym does help her to many of the ballet movements. Have fun!

Welcome! As most P1 classes are at level 1, initially I chose a trolley bag for dd. But there are some steps and she needed to lift her bag to skip the steps in order not to spoil the wheels of her bag. I remembered changing 3 bags for her till we settled on SPI bag - one which is not too heavy and she can reuse it. True enough, the bag lasted her till P2. We decided to change her a new one for next year - no surprise, it's another SPI bag. It may be slightly costly but we think it is worth the money as the books and files tend to load in her bag closer to the test period at each term end: CA1, SA1, CA2, SA2.hi all mummies!

BTW, the school's website also has the Parent's Briefing slides. You can check them out to know what will be covered for each academic subjects as well as their overall character building and aesthetics programme.
Hope this helps! -
