Any mummy from 1 compassion. My dd said she is shy making new friend so want to help her out and exchange info with mummy on class progress going forward.

      hi jnemummy,
my dd is also in P1 Compassion. Her name is Ashley. She is also at GSSC (the student care at MCS).

      and, I am her daddy..

Hi Hi, good to meet you here. Did Ashley bring back any textbook? My ddonly brought back Chinese n stack of notes. She forgotten her spelling book so cannot do homework. Wish teacher will check her bag for first few weeks to make sure they brought back the right books. No notes from Chinese teacher, not sure what is needed?

      My dd is Javerine.

yup she pass many books to teacher. Fri she brought home a simple math homework, Chinese textbk, Ex bk. Also list of spelling by weeks and a paper showing spelling corrections which I don't understand. Intend to ask Student Care on Mon. Maybe I'll email Ms Nora as well as I'm interested to get other teachers' emails.

Ngtc, I think piece of paper is a sample of the formatting for their weekly spelling. Every class got the same piece of paper. We have to prepare six formats for six weeks of spelling and hand the spelling book back to the teacher.

Has anyone's dd started getting homework already? Yesterday my girl brought home an English worksheet on the family tree. I ended up having to conduct an entire lesson on the relationships (explaining what are nephews, nieces etc) with her before she could do the worksheet as she says that the teacher only taught a little 🤷

Michyms, that’s fast! Thus far other than the spelling format, no homework.

My dd brough back mathworkheet and English workbook (need a picture of herself & write few sentences about her l). As no mention of due dates & she does not know, I make her do all plus spelling format. A lot for week 2 1st day, she complained she is tired. Feeling the stress as working mummy… How does working mum or dad cope?

jnemummy, is the Math worksheet from Maths Builder or Maths Extra practise or something the teacher came up with?

I am not really looking forward to sitting there every night getting my girl to do HW, learn spelling and ting xie… But there’s no other time as I can’t be around every morning to supervise her. Challenges of being a working mum…
