      Hi all P1 parents,

How's your DDs settling into sch after 2 weeks?
Hope they are adapting well. 😉

As for parents, don't worry, checking homework will slowly become second nature to you. Hang in there! :rahrah:

        Thanks Tinkerbelle.

It has become 2nd nature to go thru DD’s bag once we picked her up from school! We are just worried that she might missed out instructions! But guess we’ll survive!

Does anyone know anything about the Bridging Module Programme for Chinese? DD has been ‘selected’ to do that due to her weaker command of oral Chinese. Am in panic mode now…

gorilla, I am sure your dd will be able to catch up over time, with the school and your coaching… is the Bridging Module conducted during normal Chinese lessons time?

Tinkerbelle, thanks for the info, I look forward to meeting dd’s form teacher. From her sms and emails, can already tell she is a warm and friendly person.

My girl is doing fine, but just tired all the time! I wonder how long it takes for them to adjust to this new routine.

Hi michyms, the bridging module is conducted during cirriculum time, 2 periods of it. That’s why I’m worried that it’ll be at the expense of the core module. Really wonder how it works. Guess will have to wait till the briefing on 3/2.

You’ve your DD’s form teacher’s mobile number? She responds to sms, that’s so nice of her.

I know what you mean, I’m also tired all the time! My dd has more or less settled into the routine, just bracing for more homework! I’ve made alternate arrangement for the transport to school hence she doesn’t need to be on the bus for 1.5hr and that helped greatly.

gorilla, my dd’s form teacher gave out a welcome letter to parents with her hand phone number/email address the first few days, which says we are free to call or email her. Did your dd’s form teacher also send out a welcome note?

It’s great you managed to get alternative transport for your dd. 1.5 hours on the bus is really draining. Did u manage to hire a taxi or private transport?

michyms, oh wow, that's very nice of her to give out her mobile number. DD's form teacher only gave email and office number in the welcome note.

My godpa is helping me to send her till my cousin gets his taxi next mth 🙂 Yes, it's a load off my mind. At least she could eat lunch at a proper time rather than at 10am in the morning!

Gorilla, what time does your dd take her lunch? Can she eat much since it’s still rather early at 11am plus?

Hi Gorilla, does your dd bring books home? My dd kept all her text books & activity books in school, didn’t bring them home even on weekend… is your dd doing the same?

michyms, she takes porridge for lunch around 11. Will usually shower 1st so lunch is last before she goes off to sch. Will pack a snack for her too.

My DD is a picky eater so porridge is the best option, will throw veg, chicken/fish and she eat them all 🙂
