Good morning everyone! DD managed to finish her Homework last night.
She went to bed at about10.45pm though. Woke her up at 6.30am this morning. She was very tired but thank God she did not complain about it. Will let her take a long nap this afternoon. I do pity kids in Singapore. Not much can be said of their childhood. Everything is done in a rush. They feel the 'rat race' already at such a young age.
One thing I thank God for - her Form teacher who responds promptly to queries and concerns my DH and I have.
The workload that teachers have here in is incredible. Kudos to all teachers, including all mummies and daddies! -

ohdaddy,
Yes, the morning shift begins at p3 :). It is deja vu for me. My dd1 is already 23 this year, however, it was quite different then. She was in international schools as we were overseas. School started at 8.30am then. -
Good Morning All!
Gin, that's quite a fair bit of homework! My DD was given hw but all to be handled on Wed. Phew! At least the girls would have the afternoon to relax!
Traffic was super heavy this morning! Can't imagine what it's gonna be like later.
Think all of us are eagerly waiting for the Parents Briefing on 3/2. It's been a rather chaotic start
Wishing all prosperous year of the Dragon! Gong Xi Fa Cai! -

Dear KSMUM,
Thanks for the encouragement :). However, I do not think the workload on our dds will lessen.
I see students everyday.

We were there at 7am so traffic was still ok. But as we U-turned to go back towards Bishan, we could see the long queue of cars going towards MCS. I guess it is only so when the P1 to P6 classes are together in one session.

wow! 23! btw, although it is apples and oranges, how was it like comparing the teaching styles and standard in that international school and local schools? which country may i ask and what was the demographics of that school? -
ohdaddy,
She was in Jakarta, Manila and KL (German International). Needless to say, mainly German kids there :). While in Manila and KL - international schools where kids from all countries - Americans, Canadians, British, Asians, Europeans, etc attended from Nursery to Year 11 (that is like 'O' Level).
