Oh I think it is not a school gym lesson but an outside gym classs.Don't think it is compulsory.

Hi, my daughter goes to Marymount and due to the change of my work schedule, i would not be able to send her to school and planned to use the services of the school bus. I managed to check with a few parents and it seems the schoolbus service is not up to mark.

Some shared that the bus do not do a headcount and the bus and often left children behind, despite them being aware that the child is coming. In addition, they would not even call or inform the parents that they left the child behind.

One parent told me that her daughter was a little bit held up so she called the school bus to tell them that she’s already in the lift on the way down (which will probably take less than a minute) but the bus was not willing to wait and drove off.

Does any parents out there had any similar or unpleasant experiences with the bus vendor?

Hi there! Both my girls take the school bus and we are fortunate that our bus drivers are really nice. Once my girl was held up in school and the bus driver actually made back to fetch her.also my younger one sometimes cries in the bus and the bus driver would always patiently call me and let my girl use his phone. We never have any problems with our bus.;)

                Hi ryes,

Just spoke to Chinese hod, 5 mins ago (Marymount convent primary).
Because i have friends also interested in enrolling her child into p1 mc next year, 2014.

Chinese hod replied that higher Chinese in this school start not from p1, but from p5 and p6.

At the end of p4 exam (ie. based on p4 exam results) :-
If your child's Chinese score minimum above 80 plus your child's 2 other subjects (out of science, English, Maths) score minimum above 70 marks plus your child indicate a keen interest or passion in learning higher Chinese and with parents' approval, then the school permit your child to learn higher Chinese. She said if the child can't cope with other subjects well and still want to do higher Chinese - it may end up a struggle for the poor child. Also, the school doesn't want your child to keep focusing on chinese and then neglect the other 3 important subjects like science, maths, english. Hence, performance of 2 other subjects are also taken into account.

However by the end of p5 exam : -
if your child's Chinese score below 70 marks, then moe directive will step in to intervene (no longer the school's directives, no longer the school ) and advise child to drop higher Chinese.

                      Hi all,

I am keen to register my child in MCS but I was told that the school bus does not serve Queenstown area. May I know if there are any students staying in this area and how is your arrangement like??

Is the walk from Caldecott MRT very far from the school??

                      Thanks in advance!

                        Depending, between 10-15 min.
