Sorry I'm still having difficulty posting the scanned image. It returned me with error message that it should be only 640 pixels wide.

Anyway, I tried to capture the key details and info in this post:

Notice was given to dd on 12/8:

All participants will have to make their own way to and from Fullerton Hotel for the event. Reporting time is 230 pm, 31/8 (Sat)

Costumes and makeup, complete with proper hairdo (performers), school uniform and black shoes (prefects).

Meeting venue: outside ballroom basement 1, Fullerton hotel, holding area: The Boardroom

Things to bring: water bottle, please ensure child has taken lunch as only biscuits will be given for tea, burger for dinner from school.

          Dismissal time:
          730 pm - musicians
          800 pm - RG
          830 pm - prefects & choristers
          Pick up point: VIP Lounge

          Emergency numbers:
Ms Janice Lau - RG 86495386
Mr Alvin Woo - Prefects & musicians 86495386
Mrs Adeline Choo - choir 84979364

          Any other question, please contact
Mrs Ng Soh Lan - HOD PE/CCA 63537769 or email [email protected]

Apparently the child needs to respond on the reply slip the preferred choice of burger and return it to the respective teachers-in-charge last Tuesday, 21/8.

I hope you get the necessary info.

Hi, regarding the emergency numbers provided, I feel that it should be taken into consideration of the teachers' privacy. The personal details like contact numbers, especially mobile phone numbers of teachers should not be publicised publicly here. 😄

Haha. Actually these are school issued mobile numbers for CCA and not the teachers personal numbers. Anyway it's in the notice given to affected pupils. I've the personal numbers of the teachers-in-charge after my dd is in the CCA in the past few years.

              Is your dd participating too?

This school has 2 Niches! Wonderful!

Niche 1: Enhancing Holistic Health through Rhythmic Gymnastics
Our Rhythmic Gymnastics programme has attained niche status since 2009 due to its comprehensive plans to de-velop and nurture young talents in the sport. In Marymount Convent School, gymnastics has been woven into the PE curriculum to enhance co- ordination and muscle memory of our pupils, at the same time, build up their poise, grace and confidence. Complemented by a team of dedicated teachers and coaches working in partnership with supportive parents, our school’s Rhythmic Gymnastics Team has done us proud by constantly emerging within the top 4 positions at the annual National Primary Schools Rhythmic Gymnas-tics Championships since the 2005. Driven by their passion to excel in this graceful sport, some of our young charges train in school as often as four times a week.
At the pinnacle of our Rhythmic Gymnastics Team is a group of aspiring gymnasts who dreams of don-ning national colours one day. These gymnasts who train almost every day are members of the Centralised Training Squad of Singapore Gymnastics (National Sports Associ-ation for Gymnastics).

Niche 2: Grooming Cultured and Refined Ladies through the Aesthetics
The school attained the 2nd niche status in Aesthetics in 2013 with its distinctive Arts programme that permeates the whole school community. The girls in Marymount Convent School are given opportunities to develop and showcase their artistic talent in both the visual and performing arts, so that they would better appreciate the beauty around them, and learn how to express themselves and their emotions creatively through their chosen art forms. Pupils’ artistic skills are honed through their active participation in the various art forms. For visual arts, pupils are exposed to art forms ranging from western art, Chinese calligraphy, ceramics and print-mak-ing while the performing arts programme provides opportunities for pupils to explore dra-ma, music-making, choral singing and dance forms ranging from creative movement to fusion ethnic and contemporary dances.

                    Adapted from school website.

Happy children's day MCS gals! :rahrah:

We had great fun @ class party today. For parents who had Nv volunteered b4 (like me, doing it for e 1st x today), I muz say it was a wonderful experience. I will try 2 make it an annual event fr now onwards. E trs & staff of e Sch did a remarkable job in coordinating e event. :salute: Some even took e trouble to put up performance for our gals. :celebrate: Im starting to like having male trs in an all girls sch. Ey r multi talented in MCS. In fact kudos to all e trs & staff. I'm full of admiration for em. :grphug: E fun & zeal element of eir performance has won me over. Guess Tis was e vibes of MCS tat attracted me during P1 registration period in 2010. Bcos of not getting involved in MCS Sch activities, I have almost lost touch of wat I like abt MCS. Tink it's high x I put some x in volunteering for e Sch. Aft today, I'm more convinced tat my gal is in gd hands, under a safe & nurturing environment. Yes every Sch will have eir fair share of gd & not so gd trs. But MCS has more gd trs in my opinion. 😉 Thank u all for making it a wonderful day for my gal. :thankyou:
