Mine is in Compassion too, I think my gal received it on Tuesday, just before the class on Wed. -
Hi Chosun,
Thanks for the update. In that case my gal will have to check with her teacher tomorrow.
By the way, any idea why some gals are asked to move to another class for MT? -
Spelling will start in Week 3. This week is Week 1. Last week was Week 0.
The modular curriculum timetable give us an idea of when our dd need to wear PE attire or pinafore on Wednesday. The overview of it is well done. Kudos to the school for good planning. -

\"I believe the Chinese classes are banded so that teachers are more able to cater to the needs of the student. It will have in the differentiation of the lessons. \" -
If the child happens to fall under the Bridging module in Pri 1, it could be a blessing in disguise. It is better to be in the Bridging module first, then moving on to Core module and finally enrichment module.
Modular Curriculum Structure
A Differentiated Approach
The modular Chinese Language curriculum structure caters to the unique needs and abilities of your child during his or her Primary School years.
All students will take the Core Module which occupies approximately 70-80% of CL curriculum time from P1 to P6. At PSLE, only the Core Module will be tested.
Students may move laterally across the various module combinations at appropriate times of the year.
If your child takes only the Core Module
Your child’s teacher will have the flexibility to spend 20 - 30% of curriculum time using:
Alternative teaching approaches to deepen learning; or
Part of the Bridging or Enrichment materials provided by MOE; or
Their self-designed teaching and learning packages
Module\tPurposes
Bridging\t
To build up foundation for listening and speaking skills;
To provide support for character recognition in Core Module
Core\t
To develop listening and speaking skills;
To build up reading and writing skills
Enrichment\t
To encourage extensive reading
