how the academic level at MC? coz alot telling me to try chij kellocks since now still got 5slots left and i'm within 1-2km radius. but i worry later i ballot and can't get they throw my daughter to any nearby school then when i request to transfer to MC and here no more slot or can't transfer. any advise?

it's too risk for 5 slots unless you are <1km.

yeah true. thats why on the last day of the registration i saw 13 applying for 5 slots i straight log in and went for Marymount.
1 thing for sure is that i also want my daughter to go through a happy yet fulfilling primary school life. Not too stressful for her childhood yet able to get results and prepare her for future.
Only concern that time was that Marymount is not really that near thats why i've been hesitating to choose CHIJ over Marymount but inside my heart i'm do hoping to let her go for Marymount. I stay ard Havelock road so to go to school would take more effort on my part to send her in the early morning.
So now hopefully this time round will be able to get the school of choice. gotta wait end of August for the results.

Congratulations! MCS is a very loving and caring school. Hope your gal will love it as much as my gal.

Yes, there are 2 variations for school uniform, actually 3. The dress is for P1 - P3 while the top and skirt is for P3 - P6. For prefects, they wear a white shirt with skirt. Every week, the gals are only required to wear the uniform on 1 day. Other days, just PE attire. School uniform and PE top will be labelled with their name tag, ready sew when we collect them. No headache for parents at all. Yes, the gals can only wear the school jacket to school.

There will be a parent rep for each class and a class groupchat Iwhatsapp) will be created for communication purpose.

                Hi parents

I would like to hear from parents whose daughters are studying in MMC on the amount of books that the students require to bring on a daily basis and what would be a good size school bag to purchase? I saw a wide variety online and not sure what is a good size bag to buy to fit all the books required for each day. I haven’t gotten the book list yet for my daughter going P1 next year so really appreciate your sharing in advance!

                    Hi all

I always see a long queue of cars dropping off kids at MC. Is it a daily grind in the mornings? Doesnt seem to be the faster drop and go sort.

Other query is, our family is Catholic and we would want our dd to attend a Catholic sch.

Wouldnt say MC is the next option if IJ TP fails as ive been told by many others. I believe both have their own strengths but am leaning twds IJ for their affiliation.
We fall under 2B but >2km for both schs. Not sure if MC has bus to Wdlands, Past stats has showed ballots for 2B but doesnt say hw many km zone.
DS went thru the ballotted system for 2B and ‘‘potentially’’ move on to SJI which is near both MC and IJTP so i can drop them both…the upcoming TEL is handy as well. Still pondering what to do…

Woodlands to Caldecott TEL station will be ultra convenient when it’s up.

I see plenty of parents who choose to drop off/pick up their MC gals at Caldecott MRT. There’s a side gate up the hill to the school. There are sufficient waiting areas for cars. Don’t need to go squeeze with the main crowd.
