Be Joyful:
HI, requirement was 60hrs. no. of PV intake must check with school. Many yrs ago it was 60PV. But recent years I believed it has cut down to 30max. Do note that for you need to register asap for 2010 kids as interview in Dec.Hi parents
I am considering to register my child with PCPS but will need the advise from parents:
a. For PV- can anyone share on their entry requirements – any specific skills requirement and how many hours of commitment on average is required? How many PV will be accepted per intake? Is their intake is once a year?
b. Can anyone share on the stats for this year’s intake under Phase 2B and 2C?
<1km and between 1km to 2km – any balloting required?
I will be using my parents' address to register my child and will like to find out the possibility of going through the balloting between 1 to 2km.
Many thanks for the advice.
You can find stats here http://www.peichunpublic.moe.edu.sg/ind ... -admission
typically phase 2B, 2C no ballot for within 1km. If you are >1km, I think don't bother to try for PV. -
Hi Hi
I am new and I have just registered for the alumni. I didnt expect there are so many students and parents staying at the northeast side and I am glad to find this group support of advice!
I am residing in punggol and my hub was a ex student. But since we have another 3years before my girl get in Peichun, I have been thinking about the logistic problem too!
Have to either get a car or let her take the school bus but I feel is still very distance taxing esp if she miss the bus… haiz… -
2 areas which I hope u can help me out…
1) Seems like PCPS would relocate to holding site sometime in 2016 (probably to start
the academic year 2016?). Seems like school upgrading would take abt 2 years to
complete… Is this right ?
2) PCPS being a SAP school, means Higher Chinese is offered at P1. What if child cant
handle Higher Chinese? Can child drop out of Higher Chinese & do "Normal"
Chinese instead?
Hi I would like to understand when this say relocation does it meant permanently or temp till the existing school is ready?
Thanks!! -

it's a holding site, so it meant temporarily until the upgrading of the current school is completed. -

hi hi, mummies who hv gals in Peichun…i would like to check if you let your gal wear PE shorts underneath the white skirt everyday? ie. I need to buy like 5 piece of PE short…
sorry for such silly question, hah…my dd is going P1 next yr…although i hv a ds already in P3.
I only receive 1 date for orientation which is 20-Nov.
During my elder ds time, there were 2 days to go, first is admin day which we buy uniform n books, and the 2nd day which is very near to school opens (close to 29/30-dec), where the P1s wear their sch uniform and attend lesson, and canteen time. Is it still the same in recent years? -
heard from my boy, teacher said moving to amk for year 2015 (but nv mention beginning or mid). anyone any info? same morning/ noon session?
-
Hi Muska, my dd is in P5 and no, she does not wear PE shorts under her skirt every day.
Last year when my ds entered P1, uniform was purchased/ordered separately directly from the vendor together with the name tags. They were there during the orientation. -
hi jce, thanks for the shorts & orientation info feedback.
