any ideas what to bring for the next lesson? i hv asked my dotter abt the next lesson, but she has no ideas too.

Anyway, the teacher left the children to do their artwork in the classroom and the kids are using the scissors themselves with no adult supervising??

The teacher will only ask them to bring as and when the lesson needed the materials. If nothing is written in the kids’ diary, then just bring the normal half piece of drawing paper, colouring pencil and crayons will do.


Materials they will be using are such as cotton buds, straw, poster colours. Is useful if you buy some coloured construction paper as they will need to make mother’s day card, teacher day card, etc. For finger printing, they need to bring sponge, brushes, poster color. All these will be asked to bring when needed, you can also flip their art textbook in advance to understand what they will be doing…

To date also haven't receive Chinese spelling.
Regarding the surprise test, my boi mentioned also, he said everyone got all correct except 1 maybe

Muska, you can ask your kid to go to the lost and found corner to check if his art book is there, sometimes the cleaner cleaning the classroom will bring his book there. The lost and found corner is beside the canteen....

One thing I realized about the school is a lot of info comes ony 2-3 days earlier… So maybe we will only be notify about CNY celebration mid of this week…

Any idea how the P2 students are being split to the different P3 classes?
Someone told me its based on P2 results but will never reveal to the parents (scared of \"uproar\" :rant: among parents.. ).. but i also heard its based on the CCAs that they joined...

P1 Chinese is like that... In fact it's all about HYPY in the 1st term...

Hmm.. but all are hear-say only...

There will be 1 - 2 sports classes for selected students. Other than the sports class, the other students are split randomly into different classes - this is the school's public position. This seems to be true as my kid's class in P3/P4 did include some very bright kids and some who faced problems in their studies.

At the end of P4, the students will be first separated into those taking HCL and those who are not taking HCL, then by results. There is also 1 sports class in P5/6.
