Yes, he is going for 1 way home.. OMG.. he reach home at 2.45pm. What class is your boy in?
that's way too early for pick-up at Potong Pasir... and $95 sounds like robbery to me for such a short distance :!:hl_ng:
i actually moved from Sengkang to Potong Pasir. the school bus conductor told me he will fetch my son at 6.10am... oh no!! They are charging $95 for 1 trip.

did you put your son on the sch bus eventually? -

Thanks. -
Hi parents, Any idea how many pupils from SAJ passed the GEP selection test last year?
-
Quite a number were selected for the first round of GEP. But I heard that only a handful made it through after the first round…

Thanks

to Koalamummy,
Whether to go to SASS is really up to your kid at the end of the day. He has to do well to go to better schools. My son did not want to go back to SASS, though I was sad as I had been an active PV and believe in continuing the Saints tradition. -
Rafy:
Oops!! Does it mean that my son also do not qualify if i was from SAJC?
Heard from a SA Secondary old boy that SAJS and SA Secondary are not considered as related when it comes to P1 registration, ie. secondary alumni not qualified for phase 2a1 or 2a2. He found out when he wanted to send his boy to SAJS. You may want to directly verify w the school.robee:
hi,
I am hoping to send my boy to SAJS next year, I am an old boy from SA Secondary and have joined the Alumni back in 2008.
Which phase will I be under the P1 registration?
thanks.
Thanx!!! -
Yup, you are not eligible under any of the phases if you’re frm SASS &/ SAJC. It helps if you’re a member of their affliated church…but I don’t know which phase it is then…

Dear all,
My son is attending P2 at Cedar Primary School. His P1 results are 83 marks for English, 87 for Chinese and 89 for Maths. He selected Athletics for his CCA this year. He is doing quite well there and happy there.
We are staying at Woodleigh Close (very near potong pasir) and the bus fee is $78 per month.
We are thinking of transferring him to St Andrew JS next year for P3. We have another boy aged 4 this year and preferably, they should go to the same school.
Reasons:
1) 3 in 1 (Pri, Sec and JS)
2) Reputation of a good school
3) It is a mission school and we are Christians.
Questions:
1) His classmates who were doing very well in p1 transferred to other schools. Concerned that only those who are not doing well are left in Ceddar. Thinking of transferring him to SAJS, what do you all think?
2) There are some mention of bullies in the SAJS and SASS. My boy is quite skinny and concerned that he will be bullied in the school. Are there many bullies there?
3) Quite puzzled about the previous mention that the school bus from potong pasir to the school costs $90+ and the child has to take the bus at 6.10am? Any other parents confirm this?
4) As it is a mission school, does the school share about bible stories, Christian values and sing worship songs during the assembly or in class?
5) If we really want to transfer him to SAJS, what do we need to do for the transfer as well as to increase the likelihood of being accepted? Meet the principal?
Would appreciate your inputs. Thanks!
