[Tampines] Primary Schools

Have you use Onemap.sg to help you identify the schools within 1km, within 2km?Hi ,
My boy is 2 yrs old now and i'm staying in Tampines St 45. I were told by my colleague that i should do some ahead planning on which primary school should i be sending my boy to.
Choice nearby my house seems limited though. I'm having headache now should i move house?:(
Do you think i am eligible entering St hilda primary? I checked its 3km away though.
Despite St Hilda, which school would you recommend me to go?
Thanks a lot
Yes, I do agree with your colleague that some forward planning may be required as you may have too many choices. Depending on the exact location of your place on Tampines Street 45, you may have up to 3 schools within 1km, and up to 6 schools with 2km  -

Please refer to MOE to understand different phases and if you have choice under 2A or you have any affiliation under 2B before you zoom into 2C. https://www.moe.gov.sg/admissions/primary-one-registration/phases
If you do not have any affiliation with St Hilda, under 2c, there is a need for balloting even for those within 1km (at best 2 applicants for every 1 vacancy), and if you are 3km away, don't waste your chance.
You can refer to onemap that other forum member posted earlier and read about the various information at the pinned up post in this forum.
Please also visit school, research school or attend open house and see if there is a good fit for your boy. -

That, unfortunately, is how it is with most people (here, especially)...floppy:

Once they have zoomed in to or are fixated with a particular choice, they can ignore all others, including some obvious or easier selection. They will probably justify their choice with things like academic excellence, holistic environment, SAP school, affiliation to secondary school / JC, etc, despite not having the appropriate data to back up such claims, or having other similar but easier (to enter) options nearby. -
I have been considering Yumin and Gongshang. Yumin for their signature programmes and Gongshang just because it’s popular. Can anyone provide more information on the culture and environment of Gongshang? TIA.

any DD or DS in chongzheng pri, or yumin primary?
wanted to find out if there’s any student care centre within the school?
as for cca timing, understand chongzheng cca is within school hours?
as for yumin, is there later school bus trip to bring the kids home after cca?
TIA! -
