Hi, i was intending to enrol my ds to innova pri… i heard that innova have more outdoor activities is it true?
and anyone let your kids go to student care centre inside the school? -
Hello,
My girls will be in P3 & P1 next year at Innova. I like the open environment of the school. The teachers are approachble and so far, the principal seems friendly and pro-active. No complaints from my P3 girl. She enjoys going to school. I enrolled her in swimming. Thus far, there have been a few occasions in which I had to email some of the teachers of the school and I am happy to receive their prompt replies to my queries. My girl gets her worksheets on time and I like that we are informed in advance of the goings-on in the school. -
anyone enrolling your kids to innova for next yr pri 1?

I am still deliberating whether to choose Innova or Admiralty. We are doing PV or Admiralty now and have rejected PV for Innova but still have not make up my mind. Any one have the same dilemma as me?

Hi! I’m currently doing PV for Innova.
So far, I never encounter any bad experience.
I just noticed that this school is very strict in terms of discipline and children’s safety. Which is somewhat good.
In traffic control task, just for example, 3-4 PVs are needed to execute this task.
Even the vice principal helps in doing this job! I can say that she’s very proactive! -
Hi, my daughter is in P2 this year and she really loves the school. Beside the normal course work, they have extra things like cooking and baking in their curriculum which I think they call it the character building.
I like the way the motivate the kids. As my daughter is quite behind in her mother tongue, they provide extra lessons to coach her. And they use a lot of incentives to keep the child motivated. For example, if she does well for her assignment, she will get a star and by getting how many stars, she can exchange for a small incentives like story book. It keeps her interested. Beside that, they also provide Mother tongue speech and drama classes inside their curriculum to make learning fun.
CCA wise, she is enrolled in Swimming conducted by the Singapore Sports school. And if you have an active kid, they always have extra activities like table tennis or badminton workshop. They even engaged external coach for Tae Kwan Do.
She attends the after school care services and so far, they are quite good except for the fact that they give extra tutorial to the kids. (I think some parents might like this). However, the school holiday field trip is always an attraction to my girl. They are even going to watch the play "Sing to the Dawn" this coming March Holiday. But I think the centre is always running on full house. We are in the waiting list for quite a while before we get a slot
On the whole, we love this school as the teachers are friendly and the staff are helpful. (Email responses get answered almost immediately). But if you rather prefer your kids to be loaded with school homework and have extra lessons all the time, then I don’t think this will be a good school for him/her. Their homework is quite minimal and the kids are not overload with school work. I kinda of like their approach. -
Hi Aloysiusbb,
I am most probably gg to enrol my son into Innova for 2013 intake. We are considering about either putting him there or ACSJ where his dad went but it will most probably be Innova. The feedback from BusyMumsy and redkickerz seems rather assuring and i am quite convince that he will like it there.
I would really like to find out more about the school though. Like the CCA that is available because my son is really interested in sports and hence i would like him to have the opportunity to have his interest available to him in school.
Is there really an open house as mentioned earlier? I am not a PV hence i have no idea what my chances are like. I do live within the 1km though. I have been trying to look for their website but i cannot find it. -
