P3 CCA Allocation List is out. My dd was assigned Chinese Dance as her CCA. But she still has not receive consent letter from school. BTW, she did not join the alumni Chinese Dance when she was in P1 & 2. Anyone here whose kids are assigned Chinese Dance as CCA and not in the alumni team, have your dc receive consent letter already?
My doter is in the same situation. She is assigned Chinese Dance and not in the alumni team. We too have not received the consent form yet.
Guess what, Chinese Dance is our 4th choice ... :siao: I wonder how the allocation is done. -

My dd 1st choice was Art Club & Chinese Dance was 2nd. I guess due to the overwhelming intake for Art Club, she was posted to Chinese Dance instead.
My dd was quite active in school dance performance when she was in P1 & 2 participating in Shining Star Concert, P1 orientation in 2011, Childrens’ Day & Prize Giving Day. Guess that is the reason that she is being selected to Chinese Dance? Was your dd active in dance performance? -

In any case, will let her try and see how, as she seems quite OK with the allocation although its not her first two choices.
BTW, the LMS slides indicate that Chinese Dance is on every Tuesday 130 to 430pm. I reckon its fairly confirmed? :sad: In addition to the fact that each session is 3 hours long and more siong, my P2 finishes school at 330pm on Tuesdays as well. Imagine the to and fro logistics on Tuesdays ... can die ... :frustrated: -

My P1 also ends at 3.30pm on Tues.
I understand that there will be no bus service at 4.30pm. Which means those pupils taking sch bus will have to arrange own logistics. Hopefully the school will review this loophole & change the ending time to 3.30pm. In this way, we can pick up both kids at the same time. -
We live near enough not to be spending unnecessary time on school bus, but too far to be within walking distance. So we do our own fetching.
You have a point - should talk to the cca teacher in charge. -
Wow, so many children joining Chinese Dance, anyone whose child has join Chinese Orchestra?
By the way, the last school bus is at 3.30pm.
Do give your feedback to the school. I did so during the last 2wks before school starts as Chinese Orchestra training ends at 5pm on Fri. Being a FTWM, I do not have any other arrangement to pick my child up except to take leave. Luckily, the school took in parents’ feedback and changed the practice time to 3.30pm on Fri, in time for the students to board the last school bus. However, should there be upcoming performance, students are still expected to stay till 5pm for the extra practice. -

VT, just curious, do the P4s go through the choosing exercise for CCA again? or maybe its because CCA was not compulsory for P3s last year, and so you need to choose this year? My doter said she is expecting the consent form next Monday and then CCA starts Tuesday. Let's see what happens these two days.
Looks like there are a lot of mummies here where the siblings finish at 330pm on the same day. Let's hope the CCA finishes at 330pm.
