I doubt the bus driver would allow any parent to board the bus. If this is possible, the bus would be overcrowded.
Why don’t you tail the bus to check out the bus route or understand from the bus driver (beforehand) the various pick-up/drop-off points to assess for yourself whether it is too inefficient (ie a 10 minute rides becomes a 30 minute ride due to the numerious small estates/lanes that the bus goes)?
I ask the bus driver during the orientation and she told me that she would call me in Dec to finalise the school bus arrangement. I also asked about the pickup/dropoff points and she told me my gal would not be the first few person on bus and last few person to drop off, so that sounded fine to me. -
Imp75,
I asked the bus vendor as well and they also said will contact me in December regarding bus arrangement.
I have requested for small bus that can alight directly at my block. However the vendor told me that there is no small bus that goes to my area. My girl will have to take the big bus. She has also tell me the alighting point of the bus. My main concern is the bus route. As I don’t drive, it is difficult for me to tail the bus. The only solution is to ask the vendor on the route they are taking.
Actually it is only a 10 - 15 mins walk from my block to CF. But I am worry about the crossing road issue hence do not let my FDW handles the fetching job. I would rather pay for the bus service for safety purpose. -
Just heard fr a neigh she say that one of the PR parents get a place for their son in CF, but on the orentation day he(the kid) fail to pass the test.
After that the parents was told that they reject him. He need to find another school for the kid. Now the kid is register under huamin pri. -
I don’t think the school is allowed to do that. The parent should check with moe

Are parents here concerned about your kids coping with Higher Chinese in P1? How difficult is HC in P1 and how different is it from Normal Chinese in P1?
I was told Tien Hsia has P1 enrichment classes that teaches HCL1. Not sure if it is true -
My kids are attending Chinese enrichment at Berries. They are teaching Higher Chinese.
I have compared the textbook for HCL and CL2. The topics covered in both textbooks are similar. The only difference is HCL textbook covered a few more topics which are not found in the CL2 textbook.
You can try Han Language at Woodlands Civic Centre. My colleague said not bad too. -
thanks Babycutie
My girls are already in Tien Hsia, but there’s not much improvement, I reckon this is also because I started them late and that we are generally english-speaking and they do not like to speak mandarin, hopefully the "chinese" environment" in CF can change all these! -
My gal is in Skylace.
