I think it is not true. All schools will conduct the tests, understand it is some requirement from MOE just to find out the std of the kids in terms of maths n english i think. However, don’t think anyone is ask to go to another school. If that is really the case, you can complain to MOE. But not sure whether is it conducted during orientation. Some schools did it during orientation, other after school open within the 1st month.

I'll probably bring some money along. But no hurry, I guess, cos there's Day 2. Also I think can buy books fr Popular and uniform fr CKC at Sembawang Shopping Centre. -
Hi gaffy,
What is CKC? A shop? -

Ok ok...:)
What do we need to bring tomorrow besides ourselves. -
my dd1 is in P1 this year, and dd2 will be going P1 next year. dd1 sat for a test last year and had officially one day of orientation. a bit different from this year, where school has informed that there are 2 days of orientation, and has not informed on any test.
we were caught on orientation day last year as books and uniform purchase services were open, but we did not bring enough cash. please note no credit card services. -
Hi ImMeMe, can you please update us more about the orientation for tomorrow and do so for those parents who are attending. Thanks.
