any of ur kids bought toys at the recent toy fair in school? My DD skipped her lunch to buy a pretty useless toy home.
Mine didn't. She didn't mention about the toy fair but she mentioned that some pupils bought things like rings, whistles and stickers at the school bookshop. Rings (戒指) from bookshop? :? -
My DD showed us a Math worksheet. She said her class was told to do corrections on their own while the teacher left the room to do something. If they didn’t know the correct answer, they were to ask their classmates. My DD did her corrections without knowing why she was wrong and how to arrive at the correct answer cos her friend didn’t know how to explain. Is this how it’s like in other classes? Is this why more pupils have to attend tuition because the school teachers have no time to explain?

I think this is wrong. Should clarify with teacher, at least he/she is aware of feedback. Otherwise ask during parent dialogue sessions -
Enjoyed tonight's Stellar workshop, especially the Reading segment by Mrs Tan!

Hi any upper primary parents here?
My gal is going to P3 next year and I understand ECA would be compulsory by then. For kids who take the school bus, will there be arrangements available with the bus operator to bring the kids home after the ECA?
Mandy: your qn on focus-just curious how did you know your girl is not focused in class? Could this be just a transitionary period only? Try to find out why she was not focused (sleepy? din sleep well? Talkative nature? ). Is she always like that since preschool or even at home? You need to find out the reasons before administering any remedies -

CCA is not compulsory for p3 but encouraged. My girls will take the school bus back after CCA, pay extra $2 each for the trip.
