Chongfu Primary

Actually Woodlands Pri is not too bad. CFS has not been maintaining its high standard it used to be. But in terms of the notes to prepare for PSLE, I agree with mommies they are comprehensive and sufficient for PSLE examination. The top 3 classes are considered HA classes (High ability). Hence your DS with his top result in Woodlands Pri, needs to maintain to be able to top classes.
Because I want him to change friends. Rather sad to see the environment in Woodlands Pri is not as good, in terms of peers and friends. CFS is more strict in terms of disciplines.hipmama:
Just curious why would you want to switch from Woodlands Pri to CFS? Woodlands Pri is a rather good school in Woodlands and your son will be in the top class, also what about the changes impact on the child? Have you considered this?
After considering CFS recent PSLE results, I don't think CFS is that great a school after all? My neighbourhood school downstairs, which doesnt need to ballot, has a higher top PSLE score than CFS!
Regarding the class, CFS streaming is every year, so he can have a chance to go to good class next year..
In terms of friends, maybe cohort wise, you maybe correct that friends will be different since CFS is considered generally more \"kwai\".
My girl is p4 in Chongfu. Through my 3 years experience, I totally agree that CFS students are more \"kwai\" . Find the students very helpful and studiuos. -
Hi All,
I need some advice as I am torn btw ai tong and chong fu.I was ex ai tong gal, but as I shifted to yishun and my parents transfer me out when I am in Pri 3.So right now if I am gg to put my boy to ai tong,he more or less will be confirm as phase 2A, but Im afraid the travelling distance will wear him out eventually. If I am gg to be put him to chong fu which I stay < 1km , but will be under phase 2B instead. That’s means if there might be chance that I am not be able to go in chong fu under phase 2B, it will seems like I wasted all these chances … any parents face this before? -

Though both under hokkien huay guan, ai tong still has better performance based past 10 yrs results. However due distance, i will put chongfu. Chongfu system is still effective to attain gd results in psleHi All,

Depends on what you value the most in the entire process. By the way, historically phase 2B and < 1km, confirm can get into CFS without balloting. Ai Tong standard is higher I think but CFS is nearer your house. Either way if your son is going to a rather good school so unless you think he can be the top student in Ai tong, otherwise I see no problem why CFS is not the choice school instead since it is much nearer.

CFS generally is rather a good school in Yishun. However, the standard dropped few years back…since some of the better teachers either retired or transferred out.
Those days, the better teachers (first 2 classes P5/6) were really very "pushy" in term of academic…and students did very well in PSLE.
These 2-3 years back… PSLE results are not really fantastic. -

Hi Mummies of CFS,
I am new here as planning for my DS’s future… Though he is just 4 this year… Everyone around me kept asking me to start looking out. And here I am…
I am ex-student of CFS and working in Yishun (just opp CFS) but staying in Sengkang now. So am thinking to move to Yishun and enroll him into CFS in future.
I have a couple of questions to ask and need advises. Hope all the experienced mummies can help me. TIA!
1. I heard that we need documentations to prove that we are the ex-students of CFS i.e; Report book. I tried searching high and low for it and could not locate it at the moment. Just wondering if there is any other ways of proving? I have the class photo of Pri 6, not sure if it’s help.
2. For being ex-students of CFS, which phase will I fall under? Is it high chance to get in?
3. Is CFS a very academic school as like what i have heard. Are the students there very stress?
I think that’s all for now!
Thank you Mummies and have a nice day!
Regards,

Hi, I was asked to go for CF PV meeting next Wed for my son 2014 Pri enrollment.
Has anyone go for this kind of meeting b4? Going for this meeting does it means that I definitely be chosen for PV?
What kind of questions will they ask or what is this meeting for?
As I m staying more than 2km away fm CF, what is the chances of doing PV?
If I m chosen to do PV, I know that I still hv to go thru balloting, hence what is my chances of getting in?
Can anyone kind mummies pls help out in the queries above?
