I agree that there’s too much homework everyday. For P1, my girl does her work till 10pm.

Yes. I agree that there are a lot of hw, however I am secretly happy that this is the case to keep my kid in check. I don’t send my kid to tuition (other than Chinese) and I think this hw is good enough to keep her busy. I don’t need to assign her further work bc she might not want to do it. I am glad the school is helping me keep her in check in a way.
I agree about the Chinese influence. Although not excellent in Chinese, I think her Chinese improved leaps and bounds and sometimes even surpassed me after entering the school -
Heard that the P2 English Paper2 not that difficult.

Ok let’s hope Maths is the same

Yap. Maths is always the killer..... -
My gal was rather confident about her English paper, she said had lots of time to check. Hopefully no careless mistakes like forgetting a full stop erc

just wanted to check with P2 parents, how are your kids coping with the chinese 写作指导. i see my girl struggling with copying passages after passages and the words are not easy and those that they learnt in P1.
once i heard my poor doter mumbling while she was copying how she wished there is no school homework. i fear that this mindless copying will really kill the kids’ interest in the language.
how have you been managing? -
oh really? I know they need to copy their chinese compo but I din really paid attention what exactly she was copying and how much work was that. She did it quite fast so I thought she was doing her compo corrections.
which class is your gal? What is she copying? -
Immeemee,
Agreed with you. The sentences used in the teacher’s model composition is of advance level which a P2 is still not able to cope. Unless that child has a very good Chinese foundation background.
