Hi parents
You may wish to refer to the student handbook on pg 8 and 9 regarding the nametag on uniform and PE shirt. Hope this helps. -

Hi FairyHi Queen,
Didn't hear from you for quite a while...can check with you on the following?
(i) Do we need to sew name tag on PE t-shirt?
(ii) Does P1 require use of the A3 art bag?
(iii) Normal white socks for PY can or is PY strict to enforce logo type?
Thanks
Hi qq_guy,
Didn't see your posts lately too. Bought uniform & books for your kid already?
Hi Felicia,
I'm seeking Queen's help to advise on the name tag part. Hopefully, either Queen or the other PY parents who see our post can assist too
As a last resort, I'll be going to PY next Mon to buy uniform & collect books. Will check with them if need be & let you know :imcool:
I have been busy for the past week after the orientation.
Yes I have bought the uniforms and order via online for the textbooks and the stationery. Infact I bought all items on the book list. As for the uniform, I bought 3sets of skirt and shirt. For PE short and shirt, I bought 2sets, as recommanded from the shop seller. I ve ask them abt the name tag, they say just need to be iron on the shirt instead of PE shirt. The name tag can be iron, but the shop seller say can sew on it as well to have double protection. As for the socks, I bought 3pairs from PY since I m there to buy the uniform. I also bought 2pairs of white shoe from Bata. The school bag I bought from kinder Fun at united sq,SPI brand,my friend recommand to me,as it support the children's back. So you have bought everything?
My gal just join the student care on Dec,so far so good,my gal is enjoying it. As now is school holiday,so lots of program for the kids.
I have also bought some assessment book for my gal last week, as popular is having a 20%sales. I aso apply a popular card for myself in order to get more disc,as my gal can only apply when she got a student card from sch.
So how's ur gal in the student care, you have enrol her in the DEC holiday?
3more weeks to countdown. Looking forward for the days to come.Dun noe how's the school life going to be for the kids. Ha.. -
Hi qq guy,
Really nice to hear from you. Wow, you have bought a lot & so have I. Similar to you, I've purchased 3 sets of uniform & 2 sets of PE attire yesterday & also finished sewing all the name tags cum iron for double protection
PY only uses a handwriting book for P1 English. Personally I find it inadequate. Will be supplementing my girl with the Grammar book I bought. As for student care, my girl will start when school reopens. She wants to sleep more ie wake up later during the school holidays. Since I'm clearing leave these 2 weeks, we have both planned for some activities. Will be bringing her to Toa Payoh Safra's Kidz Amaze this week
Oh yes, which class is yr child in? Mine assigned to Integrity (orange house) :rahrah:
Do come to this thread more often if possible. Keep in touch :boogie:
Hi Felicia,

Oops Felicia, I've picked the wrong emoticon. My pick is actually
Sorry, fingers too fat & I'm not used to typing using iPad. So much faster to reply using my office laptop.
Have a great day ahead

Hi, same here.
I stay near to PYPS too!
I also have two kids. My dd from PYPS took PSLE this year, and my 6 yr-old ds is going to PYPS next year. :rahrah: -
Hi Jeanray, welcome
Which class is yr child going to?
Hi Felicia,
You are right. It's more difficult to sew the name tags to the PE t-shirts cos the material is softer & slippery. Took me quite long to finish the 5 pieces of garment yesterday especially when I have to re-do some cos the name tag sewn was slightly crooked. :slapshead:
You must be overwhelmed with 2 children at home. I already feel the strain with only one. It doesn't help when I've to think of what to cook these 2 weeks when at home...worse when my cooking skills are only average
will eat out for some meals but quite expensive when done too often. Dropped the idea of tingkat when colleagues told me the food not fantastic, just like cai fan stall. :scared: See how, I'll dig for recipes for inspiration

Hi jeanray,

So in future, will need your advise if i have something unclear.
