        I know of SAHMs who dont cook or do housework (got maid), dont teach (kids all have enrichment and tuition), and who are more interested in going for manicures and facials etc. Guess there are different categories of SAHMs - the tai-tais vs the housewives?

          Actually, don’t you think they would be the main contributors to the economy because they are the spenders? The wife relief would be ‘peanuts’ to them anyway, so they serve the economy well by paying GST (the more they spend, the more taxes they pay), ERP (they are bound to go out often)…they are the ones who keep the economy STRIVING - you’d miss them if they stop behaving the way they do…

            That's why I only call them SAHM if they really fulfill the M part of SAHM. (Giving birth to them only doesn't count hor.) Otherwise, they are just tai-tais cos they fulfill the \"wife\" role only.
