may we hear further experience / opinion from more parents (both ex and current) of Haig Girls school ?

To all parents who are considering Haig Girls, I'd encourage you to go for it if you wish to avoid the heartache of balloting. I have 2 girls there and have been very happy with the school's provision of an all-round education. Both my girls have good academic performance but two different personalities - one eloquent and independent, the other shy and needs pushing/encouragement. I have seen both of them flourish and given lots of opportunities to play a role in the school - be it leadership roles, performing art, sports, CCA, academic competitions etc. Most importantly, they are generally happy and have lots of friends.

Does Maha Bodhi provide for a breakdown of SC vs PR?

Any parents staying >1km being \"discouraged\" from applying?

I'm staying 1-2km (using my pil address).
Was turned down flatly cos they are already oversubscribed by 10:30am.
All 50+ registrants are Singaporean staying within 1km.

                      Hope it helps.

                        Mummy Lynn,

is your child a son or daughter ?

if is girl, enrol at Haig Girls (a good school).

if is boy, see whether Kong Hwa got chance.
if no chance, enrol at Geylang Methodist.

if is girl, if cant get in Maha Bodhi, between Haig Girls and Geylang Methodist, i’ll choose … Haig Girls. (if still got chance)
