I did not realise that it's been so long already! I'm still having Empire Food's tingkat lunch ๐Ÿ™‚

So far, we've never experienced any late delivery.
The timing told to us was 10.45 - 11.30am. Latest was always 11.25am.

Food wise is still nice and the variety is good. Maybe cos we did not order on daily basis, only thrice a week (reserve 2 days for eating out or cooking).

We are still in love with their soup ๐Ÿ™‚
is the food oily? m currently ordering fr Kim's Kitchen but will not continue after the 20D is over. taste is ok but getting oilier by the day. also deliver so early - 3pm - 3.15pm! am considering empire....

I am also currently ordering my dinner tingkat from Empire. Food-wise quiet ok lah, except the veggies. Very unimaginative serving. Every day we get like plain boiled veggies and just simply stir fried in oil.

I find Kim's Kitchen slightly better.

As for oily food, I think it can't be helped. Have to close one eye if we have to eat out on weekdays.

hmmm... guess i will have to do the trial fr Empire to see for myself eh? when i called Kims Kitchen to tell them not to renew my contract, she didnt even bother to ask why or get some feedback on their cooking. i suspect they have china workers cooking cos some dishes dont seem local. menu has got fantastic names but turned out otherwise. their vege always has the bitter taste on the stemps which i dislike :heartbroken:

Thanks to all who contributed in this thread and so I thot I should contribute my part too...

I ordered 3 pax with rice from Empire and today is my 1st lunch from them. This is the 1st time I order tingkat and don't know what to expect.
The food arrived at my place at 9.30am. I was shocked to find so early. The food are still hot, esp the soup! They said my place is the 1st stop! I am staying at Tampines.
My DDs love their soup. As for me and my mum, we like their cooking style - not oily and not salty. The rice also suited our taste, not too hard. However, the veg is abit too 'old'. Overall, we are happy about the food. I called Empire to ask whether they can give us slightly more rice in each packet. [To be frank, their packet of rice is reasonable, just that we are 'fan-tong' ] The guy is friendly and reply shouldn't be a problem, just tell the driver bec the driver take care of rice packing while he take care of dishes packing. I also told him abt the veg being too 'old'. So let see how things turn out after my request to the driver and veg feedback.

Sure. Today, I started my 1st dinner with Kim's. Ya, you are right. It's oily. I am going to stop after 5 days trial. Luckily I only order for 5 days.
The soup is MSG + water. The chicken inside the soup is very hard. Veg is xiao bai cai and the starting point of the stalk still have soil. I can't stand veg that is not washed.
Empire may be plain but I don't have to keep drinking water after eating their food.
Now I need to source for my dinner tingkat....

Anyone has any negative thing to say abt Neo?

Ya boy, the so call assam fish. Sounds great but so hard and so what they give me 5 pieces (4 pax). Each piece is so small with the stomach. There are so many bones and definitely children cant help themselves. I am so tired getting rid of the bones for my 3 DSs. The chicken wing is hard too. My poor DSs - chewed the drum stick, give up...chewed the chicken from the soup, give up.... chewed the fish ... give up. They stare at the oily dishes on the table and looked at me and stared at their own rice again....

I've tried Neo but quite some time ago. What we like is their combo meal dinner every Wednesday. At least it gives us a break from eating plain rice and dishes. As usual, it's oily but we like the variety. There nasi beryani, hongkong mee, fried rice, chicken rice, fried bee hoon, etc etc and the side dishes are usually dishes like fried chicken wing or drumstick, curry fish or chicken etc. Their combo meal also comes with dessert like cheng tng, tau suan, ah bor ling, red bean soup, etc. Nothing fantastic, in fact the tau suan is very starchy.

Anybody tried Selectโ€™s Deluxe Menu? Menu looks good! Iโ€™m tired of Kimโ€™s Kitchen, so want a change.
