      MintyMin:
Am looking into ordering tingkat.. but DS is allergic to MSG. Does Select's tingkat have MSG?

Surprisingly, I don't feel thirsty after eating dinner.
Usually I am the first one to complain when I taste food which has MSG.

But I find it funny that Select like to use black beans a lot...fish, chicken or pork. Sometimes, the taste just don't appeal.

That's good feedback.. I would have to give it a try and c if DS can take it..

Hmm.. black beans ah.. weird.. :scratchhead:

How much is the Select one you have? I'm considering ordering Tingkat 'cos very troublesome to cook or eat out.. Driving me nuts already.

About $300+ for 3 people, bcos we opted for 'deluxe'...cooking own rice. Portions are quite big...prob is if we reduce to 2 people, it will not be sufficient. Actually 4 dishes are too much, 3 dishes would be just nice.

What's the difference btw the 'Economy' and 'Deluxe' menu besides the price difference?

Deluxe a bit more ex…maybe food given for deluxe menu is better? had salmon.

I cook own rice except Tuesdays bcos I get food like chicken rice, fried bee hoon, pineapple rice. Portions for 3 people quite a lot…like what justfunsg mentioned, if reduced to 2, then it becomes insufficient. Honestly, 4 dishes is too much.

The black beans used is rather strange…not all food go well with it.

Ya… more ex by $48… Most prob will take the 4 days per week Economy and c how it goes…

If it is for a family of 5, i think to order for 4 pax is good…

              Anyone tried Neo Garden?

I just cancelled tingkat…the good thing is no need to cook, deliver to door step.

But when the food is neither Cantonese or Hokkien taste, it’s hard.
A lot of times we had fridge filled with overnight food bcos portions are too much or else not to kids’ liking and they don’t eat. Hubby and I can’t eat so much.

I suggest you order for 3 people bcos portions are big…hubby has no comments…he just eats.

What is frustrating is when the taste you have in mind doesn’t tally with real thing. After 3 months, the novelty wears off.

Got fish, got chicken, got pork...but the taste is just not delectable.
Problem is the food lacks 锅气...it is like microwave food.
I cook 1 dish for lunch as it is...bcos kids boycott when they don't like the food for dinner...so at least they have a proper home-cooked lunch.
