(1) I am not stupid enough to divulge such accurate information about a school administrator that identifies him/her so easily nor the MOE employee..this is just to highlight that there a few people who are in the system who will anonymously assist when they seen such wrong things happening....the truth will out eventually...

(2) I stated:
\"I have a very close friend working in the legal department of MOE and he is good friends with one of the vice-principals of SCGS. The final list of 29 parents is easily obtainable.\"

The first sentence is not linked to the second sentence...they are separate. What you imply by it is up to you.

Yes, you obviously dont' get it. She doesn't get love here because she's not taking action via proper channel /method. Look at the tone in her postings... full of threats, emphasizing the wonderful connections she has with so and so. She should not be having access to the parents' details etc.

And please lor, she's not doing ALL a favour, she's only doing a favour for her own precious darling.

I do not think this friend of P1Mummy is foolish to the extent ... that he / she is not afraid of getting sacked from his/her \"iron rice bowl\" by MOE if found out, for anyold how release / leak out highly confidential info to public, just to help P1Mummy lay hands on p&c info.

for helping P1Mummy, what advantage or reward will this person get, if not get sacked by MOE ?

All civil servants need to comply by code of conduct, if they want to remain working inside. If P1Mummy manage to lay hands successfully on p&c info, believe MOE will trace all the way back detective work - Who exactly inside the Ministry has helped her obtain such important info ? Once the culprit is discovered, this person have to face the boss ( Head of MOE ) and explain why perform the deed.

Maybe affected parents can lobby for the following:-

1) Priority to SC
2) Priority based on distance (within 1km, 1-2km and >2km)
3) If there are more than 1 SC within 1km, then the 1st in the queue who qualifies get the place.

The queue list should be made available for inspection to all potential transferrees to ensure transparency. When a vacancy arises and a student is admitted, it should be recorded there for all to see.
We don't want to see any sleight of hand by the school especially now someone comes here to say she got connections! :evil:

The schools are not accountable to those on the waitlist, especially when those on the waitlist are not even parents of the students in the schools. The schools just need to be accountable to MOE. So long MOE allows the schools to have the discretion as to who to admit when vacancies arise (and after the P1 registration), the schools need not be so transparent about how they select.

You are suggesting this because you might be on the waitlist. But put yourself in the shoes of the school principals and MOE, would you like to be so transparent until your hands are so tight up and others start to find fault in you? There is no one system that satisfy all parents. And this is a zero-sum game - when demand more than supply, one parent's happiness (get into the school) means another parent's disappointment (cannot get into the school).

Thanks verykiasu2010 and dimsum for the heads up. But I got a feeling P1 mummy's postings might have deterred a few who had intentions to try something funny.


Personally, what bothers me most in this thread is all the not so flattering chatter about BHPS. Whatever the posters' intent, let's not talk down a school. Time to duck again!
