another q is…if we are to confirm a place with the student care centre after we got a place in the nearby school (aug), will it not be too late to confirm a place with the student care centre?

is it true that its difficult to get a place at student care centre these days?

I think those who put your child at Semb Pri, you will have no regrets. The teachers there really give their best when it comes to the pupils.

I saw many times, while waiting for my daughter to finish her self-study sessions at night, many teachers (including the other levels teacher) as well as their P and Vp actually stay back to revise with the P6 pupils.

I have no regrets putting my child there. I am thankful for the things they have done for my child who will be graduating this yr. (now hoping all the effort pays off).

          Hi,

It is my first post and I learned there is a new principle who is just on board recently. Anyone think there will be any new change for the school? Thanks 😎

Hi welcome to KSP. Are u enquiring about Wellington school? Perhaps you can direct your question to the Wellington school parents networking thread (link below):

Hi it’s my first post here. Am very confused and somewhat stressed in choosing the right school for my child. It is my first time registering for my DS for P1 next year. Frankly im torn between Endeavour and Sembawang Primary.

Endeavour Primary is just next to my block whereas I have to take a bus to sent my DS to Sembawang Primary (it’s located betw. 1-2km from my house), but I dun mind the distance. The thing is I am have to find a BASC centre for my DS.
SPS has its own β€˜in-house’ BASC but for EPS, I have to source for outside BASC. So which one is better??
                  So confusing!!

If I am not wrong, there is a BASC near Endeavour, right?

Actually, what you could do is perhaps register your kid in EPS first since the school is nearest to your house. If your child gets balloted out in EPS (touch wood), you can still register him in SPS in P2CS, right? Based on past year's statistics, SPS had vacancies in P2CS.

                    My two cents.

                      Hi there!

                      Thanks for replying... πŸ˜„

Yup the nearest BASC i guess is Mainspring Learning Centre (for EPS). But the fees are quite ex and not including the transportation fees. If i were to let my DS to walk there by himself (w/o transport), I don't think I am comfortable with it, for safety reasons.
For SPS, it's an 'in-house' BASC, which I guess has its own advantages. No need to think of transportation and fees are quite ok (from what I read in the forum). And my younger DS is in a childcare ctr just next to SPS. I could sent them both at the same time in the morning (via public transport).

Do you know if BASC allows usage of CDA account for payment of the monthly fees?

But to think of distance, of course EPS is the best choice (but according to last year's statistics, those living within 1KM (for EPS) also have to undergo balloting... 😒 )

                      Haiyah!! so stress! :frustrated:
