How do you talk to your daughter about such topic ?
Hi, I completely agree that parents should constantly talk about this with their children, and as often as possible. This is a terrible but very important topic that everyone should talk about. I am constantly talking with my daughter about this. -
OMG ! I FINALLY FOUND IT ! AN app that does meets my need as a parent who respect my kid’s privacy : )
I found a really interesting app that might be able to keep my child safe. Looking at the app, it does not infringe on my child’s privacy while offering parents a quick overview of the online well-being of the child.
Really interesting app. I think many parents will love it. -

That looks serious, no parents would want to go through this but I think if there's really a need for some legal advice this is very helpful information. Hope everything is fine now.
If you find out that your child is being intimidated, you urgently need to contact the police or a lawyer for legal advice, and then after assessing the situation by a lawyer, go to court. I recently found myself in such a situation and immediately turned for help to a lawyer https://www.federallawyers.com who understands the work of their judicial procedures, and also, of course, helps you to be guided by your own situation. My lawyer constantly answered my calls and I was always up to date with my case. My case was examined quickly and professionally with a positive result in my direction. -

School bullying during a pandemic

daughter was bullied when she was in p1 by a girl who was in p6!
now she is bullied by her classmates in sec 4. she cut herself with a penknife and the psychiatrist saw the cuts on her wrist. I hope the new Education minister will look into bullying in schools. something has to be done! -

Yes, in those \"All Girls\" schools, bullying is frightening.

In your girl's school, even though CHIJ xxx Secondary is a missionary school, it is frightening because these things are already happening,
because
one would have thought that such things happened only in NON-missionary schools... yet it is very sad, to see this happening, inside some missionary schools.
Now,
in another primary missionary school, because a close friend's daughter had revealed and shared that in some of the Upper Primary classes, got some 2019 P6 girls hide inside the girls toilet cubicle, locked the cubicle and hurt themselves physically, by cutting their wrists to inflict self harm. My friend's daughter was in this mission
primary school, P6 last year (2019) and she saw it happening, frightening.
How to implement this, if you are an official working inside MOE, and reading this forum right now ?
One method is,
on the stage, during one of the school's Assembly, get those medical psychiatrists to stand on the stage, and explain to all students, from all level (Primary 1 to Primary 6), that self-harm is wrong, and advised students to seek help early, if they fall into this trap ! So that the students are alerted before hand, and are aware that there is an avenue of help, available
Hope that following management in authority, will look into these
1) Attention MOE,
hope that MOE will step in, intervene in the nick of time to help as many school children as possible, send down psychiatrists, to each and every single Primary and Secondary school,
to educate and fore-warn, alert
students of All level, via obtain approval from their respective school Principal : not to inflict body self harm, not to hurt themselves
And
2)
Calling out
Attention to -
( Principal, Vice Principal, HOD and individual Upper primary classes Form Teachers) ,
Inside your own primary school (via this forum),
PLEASE
kindly look into this critical matter, URGENTLY !!!
Educate all your school girls, not to self harm, esp. Those upper primary school girls in P5 and P6
And
Very important
Try to identify out all those girls asap who are crying out for help emotionally , because if not, they won't be using pen knife to hurt themselves like that. These girls really need help, but they are very lost, don't know who or where, to turn to shout for help. Poor thing
Being an educator, whether you are P, VP, HOD or class Form Teacher, all have a responsibility role to play. It is within your duty, to help these girls asap.
3) all fellow students studying inside primary schools, if you happen to come across any student from any level who are inflicting self harm onto themselves,
please report quickly
to your Class Form Teacher at once immediately, so that your class Form Tr can in turn reach out, find out who this victim come from which class, can communicate directly with this victim's class Form Tr, urgently.
This way, the pitiful crying-out-for-help victim will then be able to receive help in the nick of time, to prevent herself from destroying herself even further damage.
4) parents with daughters,
please spend some time communicate with your daughters more often at home, dont just work and work 24×7 to bring home the doe, ignored your daughters. Your girls need your parental attention, support and love.
Do assure them of your love, care and concern, that come what may, you (Papa and Mama ) are always there for them, loving them very, very much,
so that our children realized and are aware that it is wrong, to inflict self harm onto their own body. E.g. cut wrist
Also, try to find out, in school, who are their close friends or classmates they are often in contact with, or hang around with. Keep a sharp lookout, on what kind of friends they associate frequently with. After school dismissed, if not for Cca, where do they hang out ? Who are their friends ? -
Labeling an incident as bullying can be important because it influences whether students tell an adult, as well as how adults respond to the student’s report
-
Thank you for the helpful links. My son had problems at school because of bullying, so I had to transfer him to another school. And I’m glad I did it, because he made friends and he comes home from school happy, not sad-eyed like a few years ago when he was at his old school.
