Exam Preparation

Giggler1:
P3 this year
Actually P3 is not really that stressful. The real stress will come from P4 onwards. The child needs to adapt to a study schedule. Study consistently. They should not be memorizing everything at the very last minute. It will only turn them off and cause them to lose interest.
I read somewhere that it takes 21 days to form a habit. Start helping your child to get organized! -

My boy has started his revision on 25th March.. Slow and steady..TheAnswer:
I only have 1 DS. Still have some steam left. I do not teach tuition on Tuesday. Need to recuperate and rest well. It has been a tiring week.
exam preparation should begin...bcos this is for SA1.
planned daughter's revision for math and science...english, i leave it to her tutor. -
We'll start this weekend, will focus on her basics first.
Thanks to all to motivate me to start early

i always envy those hv tutor who plan revision for their kiddo.
My son’s english tutor does not do that. She claims 2hours weekly lesson is not enough.I highlighted to her my ds’s weeknesses r compo n comprehension, but shouldn’t neglect grammar n voca. After the discussion,i leave it to her,she still focusing on compo n compre.
She has been teaching my ds for a month, but absent twice.i wonder what shld i expect fr. tutor? -
Just told DD to plan her revision schedule for SA1.
She came up with complete homework, and alternate days, 1 hour math plus 30mins english, 1 hour science plus 30mins chinese.
I told her ehhhh, I dun have that many sets of practise papers for her. So in the end, we decided that she will revisit all the past worksheets that she has done and do them again. -

Actually you are right. All the other components should not be neglected.i always envy those hv tutor who plan revision for their kiddo.

My DS will put up a fierce struggle if he is told to do comprehension and creative writing all the time. When that happens, it will be really draining for me. There must be a balance in everything.
2 hours a week is enough for your DS as he is already scoring good grades. She may just want to fill up her slots? Not sure. Just citing a possibility.
Being absent twice in a month? What kind of commitment is that? -

This is an excellent strategy!Just told DD to plan her revision schedule for SA1.

On paper it seems wonderful. But the devil is in the execution. Especially when the brother does not have any exams so no major revision needed.
Yesterday she really did 1 hour of math and 30mins of English. And at dinner she suddenly jumped up and say she was so caught up with doing revision she forgot to learn her tingxie.
