Hi All,
My DD wants to get into MGS next year Sec1. May I know what is the cut off point for the PSLE?
How many percent the school accepts from non affiliated school? TIA -

Hi,
Let me know what you would like to know about MGS. I've 2 girls in MGS, one graduated and the other graduating this year. Both went in through DSA and IB.
The older one graduated, went through the O level (as there was no IB track a few years ago), then IB. The younger one is the first pre IB batch eho went into it in Sec 3.
Hi Lynn2010,
Firstly, thank you in advance for offering to provide insight into MGS. My girl got wait list for MGS ib program, just want to know your experience on waitlist, size of cohort, the attrition rate (girls who leave ip to do o levels), ip curriculum, language art expectation, etc....
Thanks in advance. -

\"MGS Sec confirmed that 2014 Psle Cut Off Point (for 2015 Sec 1 intake : born 2002) is
247 (O level)
5 points drop, from last year 252 (2013)
256 (IB : International Baccalaureate Diploma)
maintained at 256 (same as last year : 2013)\" -

Both my dds were not from MG primary… Dont worry… There are many not from MG primary and they will click on instantly.
Subsequently, they’ll mix with those from MG primary… while doing projects, the teachers will make sure they mix around and work with as a team.
As for culture, it is not just about academic. They’re quite well rounded.
They recently completed "the longest school day" (till 9pm+) and they just play the whole day in school (as far as i know) and have fun before they start to study for their final exams -
Can anyone share about the open house yesterday?

Lynn2010, do you girl like IB prog? What she like most about IB?..to for sharing

hahaha..... in secondary, it is actually \"pre-IB\". IB is Year 5 & 6 in ACSI.
Honestly, they have nothing to compare with - IB versus O level, so as far as my dd is concern, they do the subjects as they have to. More like what I like for my dds on the IB program
They need to do consistent work (revision) as the assignments and tests throughout the year is graded and counted towards their final grades at the end of the year. So this trained them study consistently and make sure they dont play in the first half of the year and do last minute revision. At first, i was worried that my DD2 will have problem, as she likes the last minute revision type of person. In the end, it works out, she just studied consistently ..... hahaha
I like the fact that they study different subject areas. -
After O level, if want to continue into A level, besides ACJC, which other JC do MGS pupils normally go to ?
