qms:
no cca ?
As the school will only have P1 students next year, no CCA will be offered. The Little Cheng Mommy:
I wonder what cca will be offered..
that mean they will be home in time for tea break everyday ? -
FYI:
According to school website:
"Alexandra Primary School has planned to start lessons at 8am so that students are adequately prepared for learning after a good rest. All students will, therefore, report to school by 7.30am for assembly, followed by exercise and interaction with the form teacher before the first lesson of the day.
For Term 1, school hours will be from 8.00am to 1.30pm, Monday to Friday. This is to allow our students to adapt to formal school hours and transit from the shorter curriculum hours in a kindergarten to a longer one in primary school. From Term 2 onwards, school hours will be from 8.00am to 3.30pm on one day of the week. Details will be communicated during the P1 Orientation at the end of the year." -

My kids are from MBS. While Mrs Lim didn't build MBS from scratch and MBS was \"popular\" since 1970's, I personally like Mrs Lim for the following :let me rephrase a bit.
\"renowned principal from MBPS\" to \"principal from renowned primary school\"
* She focuses the resources on weak students. In MBS, the class size for weaker students are much smaller. This allows the teachers to focus on them. On the other hand, those stronger ones are also not deny of support to do well.
* I suppose she is the type of principal who will allow the child to go on standard module unless there is really no choice but to do foundation subjects. So from this perspective, her thought is more for the child than the school \"reputation\"
* Very supportive principal. When my kids have SYF, she went with them on competition day. In fact, my ds recalled fondly that she was sitting beside him and asked him not to be so uptight. Coming back with victory, Mrs Lim and the other teachers lined up to welcome the kids back. The kids definitely felt valued.
* On rainy days, you will see Mrs Lim and VP standing at the gate helping to shelter the kids.
* Many a times, I see those ex students coming back to pay her a visit. This tells alot about the type of principal she is.
* When kids go on overseas trip, she is always there to send them and fetch them. This is regardless of time.
So yes, Mrs Lim will definitely be missed by my kids. I believe the students in Alexandra are truly lucky to have her. -

I dunno who's Mrs Lim except she's from Maha Bodhi but I do agreed with u regarding her values both the weak & strong student(I heard this from some mummies out there) therefore,I'm giving it a shot to register my dd tmr even though I'm staying more than 2km away :xedfingers:
