FYI, phase 3 is no longer under first come first serve, it follows the priority ranking as phase 2c / 2cSupp! So, if you really not succeed in phase 2csupp, you are still getting your priority in phase 3! probably help will only be given after phase 3!

Haha... I really hope my DD's survival instincts will kick in in time!

my older dd, who is in p6 this year, had lotsa survival instinct, when she was still in p1, she'll cut queue (bad) :oops: , asked her friend to buy for who was in front of the queue, (more bad) :spank: but she got away with it when she was still in p1 cos she was built really small then. try doing it now, she'd get hauled to principal office.

second ds was super blur. always come back home with half eaten snacks, cos no time to finish. he is already in p4, still come back with half eaten snacks bought during recess at times.

now lil piggy's turn, it'd be entirely up to her how she wants to handle recess, to buy or to bring food, will be her call.

Actually it doesn't matter if the school is a Catholic or Methodist school because your child won't be forced to become one if parent or child don't want to & most importantly school will only teach the child to be a good person regardless of Christian, Catholic or Methodist school.

My ds is in a Catholic school but we do not practise any religion at home. I don't think he is influenced or even awared about religion in school. There is a session of bible study but you are not obliged to attend so to him, its just a regular school.

Hi all, really love all the sharing of thoughts in this forum. I am going for Phase 2c this year and just would like to understand is there any issue / problem if i register my girl to CHIJ school though we are not Christian? I understand the selection criteria won't affect us but if she successfully enrol herself to CHIJ, will she encounter any issue or even pressure with the school's holistic teaching and her friends who are mainly Christian?

Best is not to put her in a mission school if you are worried. Inevitably, there are kids who will be influenced. You must be mentally prepared if you choose to put her there as you are the one who decide on the 6 year environment for her.

I actually just want her to have freedom to choose! Not because she is in IJ and she will get the pressure to become Christian. I attended both bible study and buddhist darma talk during my college time. I am fine for my girl to decide either Buddhism / Christian, but not making decision under pressure!
