James Ang:
Did your student get A or B for Chinese?tree nymph:
Yu Neng's 2009's result not so good. I think the top score is around 260+
That's because my student gets 3 A* for E/M/S but didn't do well for chinese and so he gets 240 only. -
likoko:
I try lar, but I'm not sure if I miss out any.ChiefKiasu:

My vote goes to MARIS STELLA - i know of many guy schoolmates from this school - all very driven, decent & r high achievers.... my childhood fren (now a doctor) was from this school tooneed some advise. with 235 score + 2 higher chinese which school is better?
Maris Stella, Presbyteran High, St Andrew? any other recommendation?
-
Tulip:
yishun town also not bad
If your kid is a boy, you could try Maris Stella. My ex-colleague's son got in with 238 last year.JPang:
Can someone help to suggest some good schools near or in Ang Mo Kio that a 238 score has hope to get into. :?: :?: Thanks for your help. We are thinking of opting for
1) Zhonghua Sec Sch COP 238
2) Presbyterian High School COP 235
What others? :? -
mathsparks,
late bloomer indeed.
i think if i were to sit for the PSLE exams this year, i prob be one of the lowest scorer around... -
maisy:
i second maisy. I've got some classmates from Maris Stella. These guys are very good people. well behave, good values and hardworking. I think almost all of them have a good career now.

today so touching in the hall. the principal make all the P6 student bow to the teacher, to the parent in the hall, and to their friends. hahaha.
the moment they take the bow to the teachers tear is running in my eye.hahaha -
nothingtodo,
thatβs a nice gesture! its a very nice way to thank the teachers and parents! -

Paiseh! Sorry hor! My eyes are seriously drooping now. Let me go and edit. I'll be right back! -
DadOfGirl:
This year also cannot get in. There is open house on Saturday 28th. I am going to ask that question.... Like Can appeal! My DD is at 240maisy:
my niece got 239 + 1 (hcl)= 240..can choose cedar?
Can try. And if she gets in, CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! CEDAR is an EXCELLENT school i was told
:celebrate:
PS: My Aunt's neighbour's daughter got 238 3 years ago (we all meet up pretty regularly) ... couldn't get in to cedar then - she was v disappointed.
Is your girl athletic? At 240 your girl stands a chance if she runs well (well as in either fast for sprint events or has stamina for long-dist), jumps or throws well ( Javelin or shot put)! No joke! Track & Field has long been Cedar's forte (of cos alongside academic achievements)...
Same for u Vlim - if your niece can do any of these, she might stand a chance
Good Luck to both
