Well, I got 285, I need some advice... Should I enter Nanyang Girls or Raffles? Alot of teachers advise me to go to Raffles...but which is a better choice? Anyone can help? :? :? :?:
I personally like Nanyang Girls, I am very impressed with the girls there, confident, polite and humble too. I also like the school building very much. Have you been to these 2 shcools? -
The youtube video is simply awsome. All parents shd watch and reflect back at times. Expectations are good but are our kids at that level which we want them to be? Can they cope? Is it to their capability? Are parents expecting too much?
Oops i side tracked. I totally for Nanyang Girls'. Used to wk with sme trs there and they are all dynamic and positive. Not that other sch trs arent but the whole environment in sch is taken into consideration. Just think of the classic, 'Meng Mu San Qian'. i would love to get my gal into that sch. I actually wanted to put my gal into NY pri not becos of the gd result but becos its affilated to NYGS.

I feel that he should consider where he wants to develop in the future... if he wants to go to Japan for instance, then he should take Japanese... etc. But it also depends on his interest... :lol:Hi all,
Please allow me to ask:
My DS gotten his PSLE result and was offered 3rd language for Secondary School 2010. He is eligible for the following languages:
a) Malay
b) Arabic
c) Bahasa Indonisa
d) French
e) Japanese
f) German
He is confused with which langauge to take for his future endeavour? Any suggestion?
Any kind advise is very much appreciated.
Thank you. -

when there's a tie, the school will look at other factors like CCAs, any other achievements and lastly their past school records.
Definitely not true. Many years back, my niece with 263 (I think) opted for RGS. 263 was the COP that year. Her friends with the same score got in but she didn't. Many others with 263 also didn't get in. If they accept all with 263, there might be too many for the school to absorb. I believe if the additional students wanting to join exceeds by 1 or 2 then the school probably can accept.DadOfGirl:
l... that is if they take 1 student with 230 , they will take all who has opted for that school in one of the 6 choices.....
For such cases where there is a tie with all the students having opted for that school as 1st choice, how they decide is a question mark. Maybe by the decimal points behind the aggregate.
So for students whose aggregates are exactly at the COP of their \"choice school,\" there is a danger of being squeezed out if he/she didn't put the school as first choice. -

Go NUS high. You can study at your own pace there and wont feel impeded by weaker students. -
Hi all!!!!
My friend's kid is going to NUS High and just wanna know if he can learn 2 languages... (one by th MOE and the other one at th school itself) :?: -

This is very important contradiction... Any other opinion. If there is fraction in the T-score , they will print in the result sheet, so that it is fair to let student know that you had high 230( 230.9) & hence you got in against the low 230( 230.1)

In my opinion, no such decimal exist anywhere in MOE databank... Singapore system is transperent... hence only thing matter now is Whether those who put as 'First Choice' are prefered over 'Second choice'
Two Booklets are 'Slient' about it ,hence please .... please ...please post opinion...
I really need input , else i may have to play safe & put safe choice as 'Fist one'
Really stressed :? -

Yes, there's up to 6 decimal points to each psle score.
