Given Dunman High is a popular school, wouldnt her chance be lowered if we put it as 2nd choice ?

I would put Dunman High as first choice. Cos NJC not really high chance, 2 marks away. While Dunman is just one mark away. So I would put Dunman as first choice, but it's really up to you, just my opinion..

:? How the sch building look is one of the area to consider when choosing sec sch?
likoko:
me too! Heard that Hwa Chong, NJC, Nan Yang all have very nice buildings.
I personally like Nanyang Girls, I am very impressed with the girls there, confident, polite and humble too. I also like the school building very much. Have you been to these 2 shcools?wahwah:
Well, I got 285, I need some advice... Should I enter Nanyang Girls or Raffles? Alot of teachers advise me to go to Raffles...but which is a better choice? Anyone can help? :? :? :?:

I got 267
1st choice: RAFFLES INSTITUTION [262]
2nd choice: ?
3rd choice: ?
4th choice: ?
5th choice: ?
6th choice: ?
Is there a high chance that I will get raffles institution?
What top schools should I place as my other 5 choices [must offer tamil, though]
Please help
Thanks in advance!
1st choice: RI (COP 262/2008)
2nd choice: HCI (can offer Tamil as 3rd Language? LOL)
3rd choice: RI (everyone deserves a 2nd chance!)
4th - 6th choice: no need, sure get into RI one.
Just having a bit of fun with you
. But seriously, you can also put in SJI and VS lah, but u likely to get into RI anyway. Your parents helping you?

Hi Doby,
Even if she is rejected by NJC, there is a high chance that she will accepted by DHS. I also think that u should leave NJC as your 1st choice.Doby:
My girl gets 257 and merit for HCL.
Would appreciate your comment on my chances if below is my choice of schools.
1st choice : NJC (-2 point), last year COP : 259. This is a non-SAP school hence cannot add 2 marks from HCL.
2nd Choice : Dunman High (-1 point), last year COP : 260.
3rd choice : River Valley High , COP 254
4th Choice : St Nicholas
Based on the above, what is her chance like to get into Dunman High if she fails to get NJC ? Does it make sense to make DHS 1st choice and NJC 2nd choice ?
On the contrary, I will put DHS as my first choice. Last year there were quite a number of students who can't get in the school with 260 points. I'm not sure what's the actual COP this year but 259 is closer to DHS's 260 and by putting it as your first choice, you should have better chance of getting in. Its also a good choice considering that it has IP program. don't have to bother too much which JC to choose 4 years later!

My friend is teaching in Henderson & from what I see, they are very active in training teachers to improve teaching & learning in the school. Maybe you would like to visit the school (although it's holidays, there's still CCA & you'll get to see the surroundings also). My daughter just got 220.
